Still have bad FSDO with eigen bolt...

This is just the weirdest issue. In the video i posted on the last page i was using a green sail oring off of my stock he bolt that worked without an issue. You can see the inconsistency i had with it in the video. I put on a new sail oring on the bolt, but im not sure if it was from my nxt rebuild kit or if it was included with the bolt. But i seem to be almost back to square one. I got more high velocoty shots than before but i still will get several in the 250-260 range...then several 280-290... then they wont even leave the barrel. I also just let it sit for 20 mins and came back to see if the new solenoid fixed my fsdo issue and it seems worse now. It took 5 shots to get enough air behind the ball to get it to leave the breach.

Also, how much air should be coming out of the back of the bolt guide? I seem to have a lot coming out each shot.

The large amount of air coming out the back of the bolt guide is normal, and I say large because compared to an HE bolt or any bolt that isn't qev modded, the puff of air that comes out of the bolt guide hole while using the eigen is significantly larger. As for your problem still not being solved, I am truly stumped.

But you never tried a dwell over 16ms? I had to set mine at 20 to get it properly cycle when I first got my bolt.

If you are getting it to work at first and then having problems after it sits a bit then it could be pneumatic lockout. Check out zdspb.com under the troubleshooting, leaking section. It's about half way down the page.

I have yet to try a dwell higher than 16. I will give 20 a try. In response to pneumatic lockout i have replaced every oring on the engine. The only one I have yet to replace is the one on the solenoid insert.

I just discovered i am getting very bad bolt stick. I just left my gun gassed up for 4 hours, when i cam home to test it, it wouldn't cycle. The bolt was stuck back. Must have taken me 30 shots to break it free. Ideas?

I just discovered the root of my inconsistency problem...i guess i was under lubing the bolt. I just put a thicker coat of dow and it shot within 5fps for 20 shots. BUT it still has FSDO when it sits. Takes several shots to get the bolt to cycle right and fire a ball. I will try a higher dwell tomorrow.

Still sounds like lock out. I'm currently having the same problem with one of mine. I think it's from the 22 o-rings outside the sleeve. Does your board have an abs setting? If so try turning it up and then see what happens when you let the gun sit for a bit.

So i put in my virtue board and set the dwell at 20 and turned on the abs and i have no issues. The first shot after sitting comes out high 280's then low 290 for the rest of the shots. Looks like the combo of high dwell and abs fixed my issues. I also read on here that the lurker bolt needs roughly 25 tanks of air to break it in so once i get in that area i will work on reducing settings.
