Difference between droid and drone?

Thinking about getting a Macdev and was wondering what the difference is between the droid and the drone? I've noticed they're close in price so any major differences? I think the droid looks better. Is one easier to find parts for than the other? Is one smoother shooting? Any help would be appreciated. TIA

The droid IS smoother, now.. the drone gets shipped with the new GT solenoid, wich should increase performance further. The same solenoid is possible to purchase for the droid too.

With that said, both are good choices and you cannot go wrong with eighter.

The Drone will be easier to do maintainance on though as it has very few orings and parts compared to the droid. The best thing to do would be shoot both of them and get a own opinion. Good luck.

It should be pretty easy to get parts for eighter marker these days.

Droid parts are available but being 2008 marker parts are becoming harder to get.

Drone is still new and we sell the drone so parts are readly available and you have a 2 year warranty when buying new.

Yeah the getting my hands on one part may be hard lol. I'm not a tourney player these days and don't see many at the field. I've seen a few clones and maybe a droid or two. Don't think I've ever seen a drone.

With the New solenoid its close but the drive trainnis different so it dose have a different feel in the shot. Still efficiency is 8-9 pods on a 68/45

I have a hard time with this statement. While, yes, they are both spools and the drone has fewer parts I don't believe one is a derivative of the other. The drone is a blowforward spool similar to the geo. The droid/ clone is a balanced spool with a shutoff valve. They operate VERY differently though the form factor is similar.

Yeah the Drone works much different. It super simple and bullet proof however the droid is much nicer as far as operation goes. It a much more engineered gun. For real you can get a VX'd Clone for almost as cheap as a droid these days.

Droid for performance. Drone for new/warranty.

They're similar enough to say those are the selling points between the two.
