Psychoballistics questions

Hey all, new to site, not to paintball. Ive been a magger for going on 12 years now. A local ad came up I couldnt pass up. Psychoballistics cocker, blue, never seen air, not a single scratch of any kind for $50...

I have solid plans to make a pump out of this gun and hope to be in it less than $100. I have a reg to finish it off, drop with asa etc...

I was wondering two things about this marker. What, if any, barrel fronts fit the factory barrel back? and what bolts fit the marker?

Thanks all, looking forward to this project!

I tried fitting some of my barrel fronts in all of my barrel backs including my psychoballistics. I would get a deadly wind barrel or AA/freak barrel.

only mini cocker bolts fit but you gotta also find a back block that will fit this style of cocker 'cause it's shaped like an tetris block. maybe there's a mini cocker style twist lock bolt like the stock psycho bolt somewhere.

Thanks for the response and the picture, that helped a bunch. I knew there were different aspects of this gun before buying it, I was just wondering if anyone knew of the specific bolt I could use (delrin)

And the barrel question, I figured probably nothing else would work. It looks close to a Dye front, but Im guessing its off just enough to not work... like cocker and spyder threads... almost there lol.

BUT, the good news is, I finally tracked down a Mag Freak back on here thats currently en route to my house, and I got a couple inserts w/ AA 14" front off ebay for super cheap... So I'll probably end up getting a JR kit for the cocker, that way I can have some inserts and a couple fronts to switch around for either gun!

Thanks again, and also, if anybodys got a lead on a mini delrin bolt I'd appreciate it, typed it in ebay and got zero results, even just typed as "mini autococker bolt", nothing.

Should probably change my name from Cokrkilr now... since im not an exclusive mag guy anymore, lol

You're welcome.

You'll have to find a bolt that will fit your back block or you could drill holes through the current back block so that you can use bolts that are held in place with a pin.

Not a bad idea on the back block idea. Ive seen an aftermarket twist lock bolt on these from a mini, I'll have to find the picture again and PM the owner. But if all else fails maybe I'll get out the ol drill.

I really want to pump this thing, But damn is it pretty with all that bling on the front end... Maybe ill pump it and get all new pnues for the front, like the twister style WGP stuff to match the milling, have both setups... decisions, decisions...

i believe the bolt you're looking for is a reflex bolt. it seems to me that the Dye Reflex and superbolt's bolt were interchangeable, Sanchez machine makes a delrin replacement for them

if its like the blue one pictured above yea they use the funky back block/bolt combo. the full bodied lightning ones use a standard 2k setup.

suprised the dye barrel didnt work since these are knockoffs of dye cockers....

you might like it as a pump better, the stock pneu's on these things are cursed lol. the bodies on the otherhand are nice and light, fun project guns.

a half-blocked/pumped psycho would be really neat looking imo.

Yeah im looking forward to building it, but right now Im putting it on hold because I literally have 6 different packages being shipped to me for my mag... so Im going to wait till I get all that before I start ordering parts for this.

I want to upgrade the block to all the "tickler" style pneus, I like the milling in them and think they would look sweet on this style gun. And of course have the pump kit (the reason I bought it in the first place)

EDIT: After reading what rebel said about the Dye fronts not fitting being wierd. I looked at some pictures and pulled out my front to do a side by side... or a side by screen look see.... are you sure shocker, that UL tips dont fit? They look as identical as can be to me???

BTW the bolt is not a 'mini cocker' as that term only refers to the length of the lower tube. It has nothing to do with the bolt. That would be Evo length. There is no benifit really to replacing the bolt, plus your only option is the Sanchez bolt anyway and Ive heard rumors they dont fit some of the PB guns.
Tollerances are garbage on them. There are threads about how bad they are when trying to upgrade parts. The barrels SHOULD thread into UL fronts but again, the machineing is just horrible.

Lol, its not THAT bad. Considering I already have 3 barrels from other guns that had AC threads and a reg/drop/on-off just sitting around... I'm not disappointed at all being in it $50. No anno mess ups that I can find, the only scratch on it is one that I made last night screwing my gauge in the reg (wrench hit trigger frame, tiny tiny scratch).

Plus I've read once pumped they are just as good, if not better (lighter) than a wgp pumped out...

Either way, ill be happy with it, I tinker. I've got about a grand into my mag so its nice to have a cheap gun that I wont care about diving into the ground with... if it breaks, at least it wasn't my mag...

Edit, and if it does break, cocker parts are much more plentiful and CHEAPER than hard to find parts for my mag

Heres what im playin with... Keep in mind, almost every part on this mag is 12 years old, I bought it when I was 15 with my allowance from a whole summer as just a classic... no barrel etc. just the gun, and built her up from there

It is that bad.. Read up on them. Thread tolerances are garbage. Meaning yes, you MIGHT be able to swap parts but some things wont screw in correctly. Claims have been made of the valve jam nut stripping out, the valve retainer is not the same thread as a normal cocker, back blocks strip out, the pneumatics are horrid, I could go on.. Also the body is made from the aluminum that gets scooped off the top with the slag. Threading is weak, the anno is garbage, and all around it is a bottom dweller.
They make nice pumps, they make nice halfblocks, but they dont make nice AUTOcockers.

I've never had a pleasant experience with PB. If it wasn't the pneus, which it was, it was the build quality. Some barrels work, some don't. Three ways that just push in or out of the hole they should thread into. Pump arms that strip out the backblock in a matter of a few games. Feeble feednecks that pop out or render themselves loose for a few days before falling out. The list goes on and on and on.

They are absolute garbage and you should be ashamed to own one.

Out of the three I've had (none using the stock pneus) the only issues I've had are the sanchez bolt didn't fit in the back block of one (it had been duracoated though) and the threading of one cocking rod was off so it didn't smoothly screw into the hammer.
