2v2 Strategy?

My friend and I are entering a 2v2 tournament in two weeks. This will be our first experience with speedball (played woods ball for three years), and I was wondering if anyone had any 2v2 tips they could share? Thanks.

1v2, Sit in a corner if possible. Easiest way to keep people from cutting the field/pinching you.

I almost always do the opposite in 2v2 and end up winning. However, I agree with dorrito side. Do not go into the snake in 2v2. Focus on keeping them in your bunkers so that you two can move up without them knowing. You have to be a ninja!

can't help you too much since we don't have the layout, but I'd just recommend not moving up too far until you get the first g, then bump up.

and remember to communicate with your teammate

Honestly I would have both of you lane one person off break and try to make it a 2 on 1 which you should win every time

Best advice right there for 2v2. Home can cover both sides of the field, teammate can work up d-side pretty fast. If one of the opponents takes snake, home needs to run up the highway & blast him - might trade out, might not make it, but if you don't run up on him, he's almost guaranteed take out your dorito player.

1v2, and you're the 2: one of you lay pressure on & draw fire while the other sneaks in for either the pinch or the bunkering.

1v2, and you're the 1: home or corner, preferably a short one like aztec or something. Stay low and keep switching sides looking for opponents to close in (shoot only when you've got a shot, you want them to close in). Listen for the run-up (cleats on ground, or their packs bouncing) and pop up over the bunker to take em out (which is why you want a shorter bunker).
