so i have decided to come back into paintball after taking a few years break and i was wondering what might be some suggestions to getting a gun, tank and loader. last time i played i had an Impulse with vision so im a little out dated.

I am in the same boat and have been doing a lot of research on this. If going new.

The Axe for the gun. Reasons cost to preformance ratio. Near high end preformance for only a 1/3 to 1/2 of the cost. Mid 400's compared 900 to 1600. I have seen enough positives about this gun and used one for a few games to take a chance on it. Resale is easy with only a loss of a few bucks.

Hopper I am thinking Spire, do to small profile and it appears to be preforming as well as the Rotor. The Rotor seems to be the most popular of the high ends. That is my second choice right now.

The tank I would go CF of any size, but 4500 pressure. Your choice on size many like the 68's. I already have a Ninja 50/4500. I would now consider a Crossfire though to save about $50.

See I have already come in contact with someone on a tank, but I'm not looking to buy a gun brand new. I'm basically just looking at buying used so what might be a good price to pick one up used?

For an Axe I have seen them used around 300-350. There is some one here Steelmana has a really nice one for about 330. Look him up. Look hard enough and you might find them cheaper. I have seen Mini's around 200, the Axes little brother.

One other thing at 350 you could get a used Bob Long marq or some other used High End. That would be another option.

How much your willing to spend will limit your choices. $?????

Used Axe or High End? I might try and look around a while for a High End.

You should both check out the new Valken Proton marker wich seems hard to beat for the money. It is efficient, fairly smooth and it's also hoseless. I do have a VX clone but im planning on purchasing a Valken proton for a backup.

If you do want a higher end marker, you could always check out Used Dye DM's, Macdev clones, Bob longs etc.

As far as hoppers you can get some great deals on used Rotors and prophecy's v2/z2.

I'm not looking to spend too much, a friend of mine decided to get back into it and I just want to get something that's reliable and will last me some time till I decided to get a newer one. I'm kinda leaning towards an older bob long

Several on here have endorsed it. I have not bought from them. They have several used guns and it changes by the day. They have a Mini for 200, a BL marq7 for 350, a Proton for 280, a etha for 300, and a ego 06 for 325. Check craigs list and there is always stuff on this site in the B/S/T section.

Your budget really determins what you can get.
