Spire vs rotor vs Z2
Looking to get a new hopper. Ive heard great things about all of them just looking for some input so I can decide which one to buy.

All the tycnology of the spire is awesome. Automatic Unjamming and more. But I can't get over how strange it looks so personally I stick to the rotor.

This was a z2 vs spire so i guess the rotor is out of the equation. The rotor is heavier then both though.
Both the Z2 and spire are good hoppers and you cannot go wrong with any of them. The Spire will be better at reball though.

spire
My opinion I love my spire. My rotor would jam a lot. The spire never has. The spire does use up batteries. And it takes a little to get used to with the vibration. I like the spire so much I sold bothe my rotors

Of the three mentioned, I have a Rotor and mine has jammed on me more then once, but I attribute that to the paint I was using. I have seen the Z2 sent back to Empire twice and one that had a faulty board. I know a few people with Spire's and they love them so far. I still rock my Rotor though, lol.

Check the stack tension adjustment screw and make sure it's flush.

Got rid of my brand new rotor for a spire cause of the jamming issues. It would jam at the worst possible times

i own all 3. the z2 is cool but cheap. its shell is ****ty and is prone to snapping. the z2 CONSTANTLY pops open under dives and its annoying. same thing when i had an exalt speedfeed on it. but there are better lids and speedfeeds for it but still, stock it sucks. soft on paint and works ok with reballs. IT SUCKS DOWN BATTERIES. LIKE MY GOD.
rotor is the benchmark of all hoppers. we compare all hoppers to it. best looking, sleek profile, nearly indestructible, insanely simple drive system. has 4+ years on it. changing to a speedfeed is easy but annoying. you are likely to lose your lid spring as well. ****ty for reballs and works just fine on brittle paint but is prone to jamming compared to all 3. single handedly the best battery life of all 3. i changed my batteries ONCE on my rotor in a year, played every weekend with it. performed so well.
the spire is the latest and greatest. i personally like the look. best option for changing lids and speedfeeds BY FAR. its also the most expensive option at this point. amazing for never jamming, stupid simple to service, nearly industructible. runs underwater just like a rotor will. super solid shell. awesome electronics with a shot sensor. can be quirky and sometimes will stay seeking or looking for balls to spin but can be adjusted. second best on batteries.
here's the break down. if you own a rotor: keep it. if you have a z2, buy a spire. if you have nothing, buy a spire or a used rotor for cheap.

Yep. Pull the motor assembly and look on the back for a set screw.

used you can snag them for like 100 mint condition v3 with a speedfeed already on them. or 150 brand new on most sites in limitied colors without a speedfeed

I have yet to see a shell snap.... With the exalt speedfeed my lid stays on during all the dives I have made. I have changed my batteries twice during the year I have had it. Granted for me that's about 20-24 cases. I personally have owned all 3 and like the Z2.
The rotor is great. Never had jams with mine but was heavy and could crush paint. I did back my tension screw out to flush as well.
The spire popcorned like crazy. If you think about it the design is meant to move balls that would jam up and away. Hence the popcorning. Also it tried to feed on my luxe and ended up blending paint.
The Z2 is the hopper I keep pulling out of my gear bag. Just my personal preference. I put V2 shells on it and now I have a loader that is lightweight and holds 210-220 paintballs. Quite possibly my favorite loader.

how the hell does your lid stay on lmao? id take a bad step and that thing flips open. to each his own. but i just dont like the cheapness and the shells on the proph's are so thin.

^ I superglued it shut like the pros
The spire blending was cause I guess it wasn't "calibrated" correctly. I was snapping and every time I snapped and didn't shoot it was still trying to feed. It ended up crushing the paint. You can ask some of the guys on here. They were just as amazed.

The z2 or the spire. Honestly the rotor has always been overhyped.

Thanks for this but mine must have come from the factory flush, because I didn't touch it and it was already set there.
