Sniper with more color choices at Ans Gear ????

I can't find any other dealers that sell the sniper in different colors than Ans Gear. Are they exclusive for all black snipers?

No, they re-anodise them.

They do look nice with optional colors, but how about tolerance lost. It has been noted on a lot of forums if you reanodized, you can lose tolerance.

Also my experience if you remove jewels, they don't always stick properly afterwards.

Personally, I wouldnt touch them. I don't even think Kee would honour the warranty as most annodising isn't covered.

The tolerance difference depends on how long it has been left to strip... can be minimal to none, can be a lot.

Maybe Kee can give us more colors in the future.

My other big question was if there are any differences between 2011 and 2012 models? Picking one up next week and would like to know before then.

Actually they sold quite well. Much better then KEE was expecting and they had trouble keeping up with the demand for a while.

Hmmm not in the UK. I only know of 3 Snipers... I owned one. My local shop that sold them got replacements from Kee straight away.

The tolerances should be fine. 90% of paintball guns use typeII anodizing, including the Sniper. TypeII anodizing doesn't add enough of a thickness to throw the tolerances off, and reanodizing the bodies should not change any any of the tolerances unless the stripping process was done completely wrong. And I seriously doubt a company like ANS would hire that type of anodizing. On top of that, the Snipers don't really need perfect tolerances down to the thousands with the HPR somewhat of an exception.

Are you sure ANS gear even has it done by a second party? I was sure that ANS just requested the exclusive colors from Kee, Kee produced them like normal, but then only sold those certain colors to ANS.

No, ANS has a deal with an anno company because they have a bunch of options for other markers as well that you can't seem to find. As for empire not following warranty? I don't think they'd care in the least. They stand behind their products

How do you know ANS gear isn't just getting other companies to be doing the same thing that I described earlier?
