couple problems with ego8
So I have two specific problems with my origin ego8...
First off, the reg is stuck on the gun. I have tried strap wrenches and liquid wrench and no luck. The thing won't budge. The gun still airs up fine, but I'm looking to sell the gun and I don't want to sell it with a fault like this.
Secondly, The red solenoid wire comes out of the connector. It goes in with just a push, but any time the gun needs to be dismantled it falls out.
Anyone know how to easily fix these problems? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks |

Well I inherited this gun. And now...It's my problem haha. I got the reg off the gun with a little can do attitude but I can't separate the upper and lower parts of the regs

Remove the macro fitting completely, take two large Allen keys and torque the two apart.

There is no allen key fitting on the top part of this regulator...

Wait sorry. Got off track for a moment. Doesn't the 08s have milling in the very bottom that will accomodate one of those really big Allens? You can get one of them and put it in the bottom for added leverage tape up the reg really good and hit it with a strap wrench.

Allen key on the bottom of your reg ...... its like 1/4 inch or something ...push the hpr screw all the way in ..
The wire .. you can fish out the metal conection from the plug, stick the end of the wire in and fold the end over on itself to make a hook when you got it through.. plug it back into the reciver .. jimmy rigged but it will work and don't have to send it out to get fixed

take off the macro fitting, if you have a vice it helps..put some paper towels in the vise, or a towl or something to keep from scratching up the reg (i used shop towels), then get a really big allen key and man handle it! youll get it off eventually lol thats how i had to do mine |
