Meh, we never got the good E36 M motor here anyway
Eh the e36 3.2 M motor is easy to upgrade though. With simple boltons 260-270 is easy to get and with cams 300 is not too hard. The extra torque and bullet proof reliability trumps the 330 hp and valve adjustments at the higher mileage.
I don't understand why you're so in love with ugly slow roadsters for autocrossing but won't just go Miata.

I sick. I skipped my first class. I'm working on the lab for it though....dendroclimatology is so boring. I'm measuring tree rings from core samples and comparing them against yearly temps and rainfall.
the 996 has all service records and was a trade-in. We don't keep cars older than like 2006 usually unless they are fairly rare and desirable. We gave the dude 11k for it. The first owner was the owner of our porsche dealership and the second owner was his brother. Add average vehicle gross profit for pre-owned other, and I'm looking at roughly 13.
I'll take a look at the service records. RMS and ISB problems are the two biggest concerns, with intermix being the third. rear main seal is EZPZ, if the ISB hasn't failed yet, it won't, and intermix problems are caused by ****ty maintenance which shouldn't be a problem pending records.
