I wear Underarmor football cleats, before that I wore soccer cleats. I like football cleats better because they tend to have more ankle support than soccer cleats

Soccer cleats. Soccer is played on grass, so it's logical. Plus they're lighter than football or baseball cleats.
I wear Nike Mercurials.

I have heard mixed reviews between football and soccer cleats. Those two seem to be them best for paintball. It really comes down too which one feels better. I chose some football mid top cleats off amazon for $30. I haven't used them yet, but hopefully they will work out good. I chose football because I will be playing woodsball and speedball and I didn't want to spend over $50 for cleats and the soccer cleats that were under $50 didn't look like they would hold up long.

I wore adidas football cleats for the longest time but recently switched to soccer cleats by nike. I like these MUCH better. They're super light and easy to move and get a clean and fast burst of speed, where the football cleats felt kind of bulky and slow. I also felt like the constricted my feet because they were mid/high tops.

I prefer football cleats myself. Mainly because I'm a bigger guy, so I like the ankle support, along with being used to them from playing football for years. No one likes sprained ankles. Soccer cleats are just as good and definitely have their own advantages. What ever you do, just dont buy anything with metal cleats, and don't fall into the scam of paintball "cleats". They are nothing but redesigned golf cleats, and if your playing on grass, they aren't going to help you very much.

PEfan13oy is right. I would suggest to go to your local sporting goods store and try some on. Don't go to wal mart cause those are cheap. then they are just gonna hurt your feet and tear easily. You can find a good pair of Nike or Adidas for a fair price.

i've always been a fan of Puma cleats years ago but getting harder to find, i'm not sure they are even made anymore.
So i picked up a pair of really nice Adidas soccer cleats, got lucky cuz they are top notch and were only like $40. I've played in them constantly for all of 2012, including the crap at Galveston and still are in great shape.

Nike land shark mid football cleats. I went to puma soccer cleats for a while and came back to these. I don't feel like either make a difference in my speed or acceleration.

They still make puma cleats, I have two pairs lol.
I bought one pair two years ago, and one pair one year ago. Both were on sale at dicks (different times) for like $35.
Honestly best cleats I've ever worn. I played soccer for years and so they're the most comfortable type of cleats for me. That, and I'm used to every shoe I wear not having much ankle support, I have literally never worn a pair of shoes/cleats more than a couple times if they were mid/highs. They just feel too restricted for me, I'm used to making sharp cuts and sudden sprints and anything mid/high is too restrictive for me.
In the end though, it's all dependent upon what you feel most comfortable in when doing actions that are seen in your style of play (for example, front guys might want low ankles because of making last minute dives to the side in the snake or something, and back guys might prefer ankle support and they could deal with mid tips because they aren't really doing all the aggressive sprints and cuts and dives).

For woodsball or indoor I wear indoor soccer turf cleats. They have the best all around grip on the multitude of surfaces you'll get in woodsball. Outdoor cleats do not give any grip when running across wooden bridges or hard pack roads.
For speedball on grass I use outdoor soccer cleats. I like the lighter weight than football cleats. Plus I played soccer growing up and not football so it is probably a comfort factor too.
