Well guys, it's been a long day. Got up early, aired my tanks, and hit the woods with some of my buddies. However, when I aired up my Angel, this happened:



The ASA exploded***.Cut my hand pretty bad too. I need help with what part I should get to fix it, so please help if you can. If you think I should just purchase a new ASA, please point me in the right direction.

******Terminology fail. Still a newbie. The macro line adapter failed, not the ASA. My apologies.

Is it the fitting on the reg? You can pop that off and put a new one on. I highly recommend http://www.macrolineguy.com/

I think yeah. It's the fitting where the ASA meets the reg

let's get the terminology correct.

ASA: Air Source Adapter. where the tank screws into to air up the gun.

macroline: in your picture, the black air line.

macroline fitting: the push-pull connector that the macroline goes into, going from the ASA to the reg.

by reading your post, without the picture, you make it seem that the (true) ASA exploded and shredded your hand and/or your arm. a fitting(though sorry for your injuries), its not uncommon for them to fail or require replacing because of an upcoming failure.

Yep. What happened is the locking collar in your macroline fitting decoupled from the body of the fitting. Common failure point, and a very easy fix. Hit that link PumpScout posted. Or if you decide to buy locally or from another source, don't cheap out. Make sure you buy macroline and fittings rating for a high enough pressure (1,000 psi burst pressure would be ideal). Some places sell line and fittings that are rated to a much lower pressure (400-700 psi).
