What makes these cockers different than other cockers? I see they still hold their value really well, so what makes them so... special?

BTW, y'all have some nice gats!

Belsales was just an awesome company that made quality products. People regarded the Evolution as one of the best autocockers ever made and was known for having the smoothest triggers out there. People like having those guns they could never afford when they first started playing (remember they were like $1200 in 98). That's what it is for me anyway.

They were meticulous. They treated every single part that went into each gun as if it was the most important part. I remember tearing down my friends dust red EVO X cocker. Every single moving part was polished and honed perfectly. Every spring and screw in the gun felt as if they had been specifically chosen for that particular gun. It was an extraordinary marker.

Would I spend the money my friend had spent for his new in 2000 or 2001? NO. But I would consider buying a used one now at the prices they are at.

Also, if you know cockers and are handy around some light machinery there is no reason you can't make a cocker shoot as well as a balsales cocker.

There really isn't much machining needed to get an autococker to shoot like an Evolution. It's not like they did anything special to the bodies that would have to be recreated like Freeflow super polishing the tubes in their autocockers. With the right components almost any cocker body can be used to shoot like an Evolution. If you're referencing the p-block, most 2k guns had a lighter backblock/bolt than Evolutions. The p-block leads to higher recoil because the increased mass. It doesn't mean they don't look cool though.

I for one don't trust anything posted by a guy with the name "Minimag03" in the cocker forum.

Is your gun sweetspotted at 260psi? Stock Belsales valve and springs? How's you efficiency?

All stock belsales springs and internals. It was shooting hot at 270 psi, using a .679 insert with .678 paint, so it is not sweet spotted at 260. I haven't tested for efficiency since this marker rarely gets aired up and shot. I'm actually entertaining a trade offer on it at the moment, as this vid was made for the potential future owner.

That's pretty impressive if you're using the proper length/tension stock springs. I've never gotten a Belsales valve to shoot 300fps at that low of a pressure. what are you letting it go for?

I just agreed to let it go for a discreet $1200.

That's ridiculous. He could easily buy two for that price if he was patient. Oh well, you got a hell of a price on that.

He could easily afford whatever he wanted it seems, as he gave me what I asked for without hesitation or haggling. I actually hesitated when he accepted my initial asking price. However, his reputation precedes him, so there is no doubt about the sale. It is done.

I don't know if you care for right feeds, but there is this one. Minimag03 indicated an interest should I decide to sell. Not everyone likes right feeds though. This is also a pre2k front block, despite the Evo X milling.

That's a nice gun. "It's almost entirely original except for the feedneck, LPR, ram, front block and inline reg." Haha

I always liked the solid black ones.

Si, muy interesado, but never for $1,200 lol. I'd keep my 98Evo and be happy with it for that price.

I decided to snag that black one. It may not have been worth it to some, but it was to me.

Get a set of springs from Belsales. It can clearly use a lighter main spring if it shoot 300fps while not sweetspotted. It's important to use Belsales springs because they are the appropriate length (the Rex dialer take up more space than a normal IVG so the springs are shorter). I'd also suggest an AKA trigger plate and Belsales roller sear if it doesn't have one, but that's just preference...

It does have a belsales roller sear. I'm sorry I did not clarify. I did not change any frame or body internals, and the previous owner stated he did not either. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any concerns and I will make every effort to make it right. My feedback on customcockers and mcb will attest to that, hopefully. Thank you again for an excellent transaction, Sir!
