Not really commenting on your thoughts about the volume of Halos or Rotors sold.
But the first time I saw the Halo was at World Cup 2001. Here's a picture I took at the tradeshow then.
I don't believe it was available for resale just then, but it took several years to "take over" as people were still using Eggs and Revolutions through 2004 (and beyond) as you can see here:
Not really much point to this post, I was just going through my old photo archive and I thought it was interesting how long it took from a loaders first appearance to its "wide spread" adoption rate. Same with the Revolution and subsequently the Egg.
ps - ah the good old days when it was normal to stack 3 guys in one bunker!
