Is This A 98 Custom or 98 Custom Platinum?
Hey all, sorry to ask here (Yes, I Googled it already, no luck).
But is the below gun a regular 98c or 98c Platinum? Basically I got it for a DANG good price, so either way I'm happy, but he said it's a Platinum. Well I read around, and a Platinum Pro has double-trigger, this one doesn't. So could it still be a Platinum, just not a "Pro"? Or is it not a Platinum at all?
Of course when I get it in the mail, then I could run the serials or whatever to find out exactly.

Okay cool thank you man. Got it for $35 shipped.
Now I will hustle him, say he told me wrong, and see if he will knock $10 off.

For $35 id say take it and be lucky. Lowest ive ever gotten was an old Model 98 for $45. Love it to hell, dont get me wrong, but $35 for a newer 98 is nothing to haggle.
For future reference, Platinums came in Silver.

Gotcha, nice thanks man.
Yeah the other day I got one for $55 and couldn't believe it. Well $35 is darn good lol. Both are in amazing shape. Just need to get them modded up.

An easy way to tell if a 98C is a Platinum Series is by the split receiver design and built in picatinny rails. Older series of 98C's had two solid receivers and a dovetail rail.

Gotcha thanks, but ain't they all split frames? I own 3x, and they all split down the middle, to clean, etc.

All 98C's are a clam shell design and split down the middle but the left receiver on the platinum series splits in to 2 pieces for easier cleaning.
