Can you call positions from the pits?

Can you call positions of the other team to your team while you are in the pits during a game? I keep getting different answers.

oh ok. maybe i keep getting different answers because there is a video from socialpaintball that shows damage calling from the pits.. i prefered to just ask than assume.
