Marq smoother than a protege?
Is a Stock Engine Marq that's been lurker'd smoother or less smooth than an LP'd Protege w/ a Pillow bolt. Both running 6ms dwell. both would be at their recommended pressures, respectively.

I had a vice with a LP poppet and traded it for a marq and I can absolutely tell you the marq is much smoother. To take that a step further, I've shot tons of spools over the years and though the feedback from the marq line feels snappy like a poppet, I feel it's one of the smoothest guns made. It is amazing how little barrel rise you get while laning.

Well... I have my closer sc'd and the stock engine in my marq7. The stock engine is definitely smoother and has a different feel, but I still think my sc engine is smoother than the vice. I haven't decided which I prefer but I love the marq line.

i think the burst of air leaving the barrel causes more recoil than the markers operation. i have yet to shoot an sc marq but im quite happy with my old engine.
they are really smooth though, closest thing i can compare to is a well tuned dm, but they still retain that snappy feel.

Does blast even have any in stock? I was looking for maybe 2 new SC engines,(Before you say just call them,I live in Canada and long distance and international calls apply. The internet is cheaper)

i own both a marq 7 and a vice. i will say my vice is pretty damn smooth but it has about 500 cases through it my marq has a little less on the case count but it is still smoother than my vice

Marqs generally will shoot smoother, but they generally tend to be a little less efficient (Not by much though)
I still regret getting rid of my closer , but im happy with my g6r
