Why isn't there a d4 7man?

From my understanding is there isn't going to be 7-man for D4 in the NPPL so it translates into the same rules for the RPL.

If the NPPL does have a 7-man D4 division chances are so will the RPL

Yep, thats what the RPL rep I spoke with indicated also: RPL is just following the NPPL's rules, even if nonsensical and even if it means less teams... So I guess we're just waiting for the NPPL to come out. Probably not going to go over well on the national divisional stage in its battle against the PSP also, and definitely not with the improvements PSP announced today.

Sounds good. Will do. We played a little of both D-LEague and RPL last year, so we may try to do both this season if we can logistically, but it may be tough, so we'll see. We prefer the 7-man format, so we might be leaning that direction also.

7 Man Rules....... Psp sucks a** let's go 7man teams..... I could care less about PSP and there ramping, coaching ,no gun skills of a game.... what a waste of paint . all this talk that 7 man is dead is Bs. looking forward to seeing all the teams this season .

Semi, no coaching is a lot different from psp style that's for sure. Was doing 5 man xball for a few seasons, then started semi and its kicking my butt, but it makes playing xball feel easier. I feel more focused in semi, where in xball I don't have to try to keep my fingers going, I just hold the gun up, ramp and feed her paint.

There will be no D-League this year. Just RPL as far as traditional tournament ball goes.

As for the improvements you mentioned with the PSP as far as I know that only has an effect on the Pro-Brackets?

I think the NPPL and RPL's outlook on the D4 division is it's harder to put together a 7-man roster at that level, especially one that is able to travel and compete. I think it's a good opportunity for younger (as in exp) players to get a chance to play at the national level without having to have the great organizational skills that goes into keeping a 7-man roster going.

The NPPL stepped up big this year to make sure all of the venues were top notch places to go and not just at paintball fields which I think adds a whole level of excitement to it. I know doing all the NPPL events myself the two events that were at cool locations were way better than the ones at fields way out in no mans land.

My company Lyfe Sports (PBLyfe) will be working hard to make the RPL as enjoyable as possible and help get a good platform to jump to the next level of competition.

I won't say anything bad about any league, but I'll agree with you on the fact that I don't enjoy the fact that PSP rules take out a lot of what built paintball. The ability to be sneaky, needing to have good guns skills and communication are the foundation of good paintball.

I get it, and my bad for the rant on the PSP. I dont mean to downplay Paintball by any means.... Just trying to fire up all the teams that love 7man like I do, and show my support for the NPPL. The RPL with the adition of 7man and the support of the NPPL...... sounds like a fun season for 2013... Cant wait

Does the RPL still require ID cards through IDPro? What about for the 3 man events?

Yes it does. And a card can be used for both the 3-man and the regular events.
