Sold an ion. Then got another and built it the same way.
Ape rampage. (wtb threads and found a brand new one
Since they dont produce them anymore.)
Youtube "Rampage ion board" you'll understand then.
Hard to find but their awesome.
I also had the grip milled to fit button mad flush.
My first ion was identical to this one. Non milled.

But to be honest it all what weight u would like in the board virtue is 25grams and the tadao is 80grams which 80 grams would give u more of a bounce pulling the trigger and 25 grams would be a light trigger pull. things u should look into if ur getting a board

I've had alot of Ions with different boards,I'll list them in order best to worst
Virtue original.not produced anymore.highest ROF,easy to program,not compatability issues with techT L7 bolt.bulletproof warranty
Lucky board.not produced, can find them used.highest ROF,Ok to progarm, board and 'noid are seperate, great for projects
Virtue Redifined.Same as above, superceded original board.ROF a little slower.easy to program, dwell needs to be matched when using L7 bolt
bulletproof warranty.
Tadao Raider(?) board.Easy to program,ROF matches original Virtue board.$35 to repair/tech if broken.battery harness is plug in instead of soldered to board,a big +
Virtue OLED.similar to Redefined board, has a seperate screen for shot count, rof.OLED board is hard to fit in stock frame, grips suck.Has seperate wiring for batterey and soleniod, easy to install a RF chip to sync with hopper.bulletproof warranty
Shameless plug also,dethwish
Blackheart board.more difficult to program than others, most bang for the buck, similar to stock Ion board, adds ramping
Ape board.Worst to program of the lot,no longer produced.wiring harness is big and bulky with membrane adapter, difficult to fit in stock frame.i had problems with setting resetting themselves
Stock board.no major problems,no ramping mode, lowest ROF.Not bad unless you plan to upgrade bolt and add QEV.
Your other upgrades(bolt/qev) will ultimately improve your gun more than a board alone, usually the last upgrade I do.Keep in mind also my Tadao,Blackheart and APE board I got used
That being said I recommened Virtue mostly for the warranty,if you can get your hands on a Lucky board and plan to do some extreme modding buy one
shamless plug...Deathwish DW above is an Ion guru,Ive bought a ton of stuff and gotten great advice from him, check his BST and Mech Ion conversion kit.I have 2 mechs and I love them

Virtue will still take care of you, no questions asked. All they require is you send in the old board so they can ship the replacement. I liked the old Virtue ion board. Redefined board is hit or miss, although that could be due to the hit or miss machining tolerances of each ion.
I ran the stock board for the LONGEST time, as it did everything i wanted. Blackheart board was a small step up from stock, with the coolest feature being that it chirped like the Shocker NXT board, lol.
Love the Lucky 2.0 boards from Deathwish_DW. Has to be my favorite. While i don't have an electro ion assembled right now, that one was nice. I might rebuild an ion from my spare parts just so i can use it again. Only guaranteed to fit non-XE bodies, though, since the rear fitting is taller than the stock banjo fitting.
