For something different and unique really. When the tape gets some paint grease on it starts to form really well to the gun and then gets a great battered look to it, similar to the old anno wear on SFT Shockers. My eventual goal is to get a LV1 done in Dazzle Camo however funds don't allow me to at this time. EDIT Interestingly enough the finish of the marker is protected rather well by the tape and the tape peels off easily.

Does the grip tape weigh the gun down at all or not really? just curious, cool idea though to get an idea of what the camo might look like.

Not at all! If you're looking to make something that is even more functional you can take rough estimates of the eye covers and where the lines on your gun intersect then place the tape on a cutting board and use an X-acto knife (clearly don't cut on the gun as it could damage it). The tape may peel around the edges but just run your hand and press it a bunch and with some use it should stick no issues.

Interesting you should ask that. I have experimented with a few ways to mark it up black tape as the black grip tape absorbs alot of spray paint and such. White tape does better but I wanted the black tape look for a weekend or two. I have found that cheap nail polish does an ok job of showing up on the black and is pretty durable.

Here you can see black and white grip tape that I used basic spray paint on and a white grip tape that I used a sharpie on.

Now I applied them to my railing to show how easy the stuff conforms to surface areas and you can also see how regular spray paint hides pretty well in the black tape, but on the white the blue and brown spray paint is clearly visible.

Another concern people may have is how does the tape stain? Well I don't have any paint with fill other than white so here is a good example for you all.

And let it sit and then a few wipes.

Almost not even visible! You can get really creative with the stuff

I suggest some Goo Gone when you decide to take the tape off because cleaning it will be a *****.

I've never actually had a bad experience taking it off. I had a ripper two tape covered and with the smaller spaces a few rubs with a qtip took care of anything that was 'goo'd on'

I can put different strips of tape over the eye covers or I can just clean the eyes via the breach. Or I just pull it all off.
