Why is pump so fun?
I haven't played pump before but my friend has a pump gun and says that he likes to play pump over anything because its so fun. I use a 98c but I'm getting an invert mini and I want to know why pump is so fun.

Keep the pump hand strong

Because awesome.
Truth be told, not everyone thinks it's so great, for various reasons. I play pump because I get bored and lazy while shooting anything else. Not to mention potential ammo savings and usually lighter setups.

Basically what Castro #66 said, it's fun. You use less paint and look like a boss when people are shooting their Geo or DM and you get them out with a pump Try using your friends pump and see how you like it.

I find it much more of a challenge, and when you get people out it is much much more satisfying.

Pump is only fun when u get to a certain level.
A new player will not find a pump fun because they will get shot most times.
My advice for pump players is that if you can actually hit people with an semi automatic paintball marker, you should look into pumps. Otherwise work on your semi skills first.

Truth, only reason why I wanted to start was cuz I was Getting bored. If I would not have known how to snapshoot I would be screwed

It is definitely more challenging! I play pump to change things up as well as work on skill.

I started playing pump during the off season between tournament time 5 years ago. It is an excellent way to save money (play all day on a bag of paint), it's extremely satisfying to shoot out a ramping player with a single shot and it will help your snapshooting skills for ramping tournaments. If you're getting bored with paintball, it will change things up. Not to mention...pump players are cooler than other players.

And if you play woods ball, it great to hear the player you shoot out say "Where the hell did that shot come from?!?!"
Peace-

Part of what is so satisfying about pump is the way so many factors come together for you to get a clean one-shot kill. It just seems like poetry sometimes.

Do you know what is more fun? Is playing with the new hammer 7 and reloading the magazine with a ten round tube each time when it empties. Knowing that this takes a little bit more time than reloading a stock class tube, you develop more patience in selecting your target.

pretty much everyone else covered it. i played semi for 5.5 years before i found pump and havnt touched a semi since. BUT, if i wouldnt have had the tournament experience i did (snap shooting, run-n-gun skills etc.) i can def see how it wouldnt have been fun the first few times. i originally started because i needed to save money, and now i play for the sole reason of the feeling you get when you outsnap a semi. More then anything for me, thats why its fin, because its a challenge and you have no choice but to hone your skills. try your buddies pump, in my experience most pump players are willing to hand over there gun if it means getting a new pumper to play with

I have been playing semi for a few years and now have just decided to start playing pump as I was bored with semi. I really only got into it because of a couple of guys at my paintball park said to try out their pump and I got hooked on it.
