Angel 2K2 Apollo Help
Hey guys.. I need some help with my Angel 2K2 Apollo. The firing system works as it should, but the paintballs only go about 50 yards and at a low speed. I don't know enough about the gun to be able to change the air pressure, so is there anyone who could help me make this gun more applicable to the playing field? I can't hit anyone unless I get really close... Pointless when theirs shoot 100+ yards

It sounds like your LPR pressure may be low. Unfortunately, you would need access to the gauge tool to know for sure. You may also want to check your dwell and make sure it is at the requisite 14 ms.

Ok... I don't know what half of that means
What is the LPR? And I'm not sure where the gauge tool would go. Is it that opening at the back if the gun that seems to have a spring inside?

LPR = Low Pressure Regulator. The LPR reduces the pressure from the High Pressure Regulator or HPR and passes it to the solenoid, which is an electro-mechanical valve that shifts air to either the back or front of a pneumatic ram to cycle the valve. The LPR is housed behind the end plug at the front of the gun (on the left side if you are looking at the gun as if you were going to shoot yourself in the face with it). To get better acquainted with the parts layout, grab yourself a copy of the manual here: http://www.angelowners.com/showthrea...-(PDF-and-HTML)

Oh ok so is it's where I thought it was. What exactly do I need to do to get the gun firing properly?

If low LPR pressure is actually your problem, adding shims to the LPR spring stack to raise the pressure would be the remedy, but without the gauge tool you are more or less guessing. The LPR is probably in need of maintenance as well. Cleaning and greasing both the LPR and your HPR would be a good idea.

did you try to turn up the high pressure regulator while firing the gun over a chronograph to check the velocity? You do not need anything other then a 3mm allen wrench to do this. Did you read the manual?

Excellent point - I was jumping ahead assuming you'd already adjusted the mini-reg.

I read the manual, and I think I understand. Where do I find the mini reg? I have the wrench but I don't want to stick it somewhere it doesn't belong. (All jokes aside)

The mini reg is the regulator, its what your non-grip frame hand holds. There is a large set screw in the side. It is the velocity adjustment screw.
Reference manual to make sure you are on the right one.

Ok great! I got it all sorted out! The gun is firing great now
I had a quick question though about my gun. I wanted to know if you guys could tell my what type of 2k2 it is... It's an anodized red that fades to purple in some areas. I scored it on eBay but know nothing about it. It has a virtue board as well. Is there a manual for the board anywhere?

I have never seen an Apollo with a fade. And the virtue is a great score, awesome board.
