That was a misunderstanding--he was interested in him coming out of college
or so he said on our local radio.
I appreciate you guys giving us Montana, but our last 2 49ers QBs have been pretty terrible, and Smith has Cassel-status written all over him. |

Smith is a **** ton better than Cassell.
The only other options i see is Cleveland because Norv is there, or the Jets because they dont have a real QB.

Cassel looked real good on a stacked team too, he even had a good year in KC, then remembered that he's Matt ****ing Cassel and sucks. Alex Smith on a team like KC or the Jags is just going to go back to his roots of being bad.

He looked solid in the combine. I really can't imagine him making it outside of the top 10 (especially with the Cardinals at 7?)
I don't know, seems kind of ridiculous to go for a LT when we already have a good one along with a decent backup.
