Yea, except the 9ers did the right thing and benched their mediocre QB. Baltimore will never be able to do that.

you mean the guy they were 7-2 with that got them within a punt returner of the sb last year?
And its funny you're calling baltimore's qb mediocre when he just beat the 9ers in the sb as their implied better-than-mediocre qb struggled so badly in the first half they got in too deep a hole to dig out of.
Oh not to mention putting up quite possibly the best statistical postseason by a qb ever. Certainly ahead of any active qb.

They did well in spite of Smith
I can't wait until Smith lands on a non-Super Bowl ready team next year and he goes back into abysmal mediocrity so everyone will shut up about how great he is.

I don't think anybody is calling him great, but he's certainly good enough to win with, and quite honestly, I think if he was on the texans, they would be better off.

Oh heeere we go. Flacco has one good post season, one id be willing to say he'll never repeat and lets swing from his sac even though everyone watched him huck up prayer after prayer and watch Boldin...ya know....the guy you said would he a non factor when they signed him, bail him out. Joe Flacco had a 4 game stretch for the ages...ive also see him blow it in the playoffs every single year prior to this. So lets all settle down for 4 seconds and take a look at the big picture. Im certainly not the only one who thinks this either. As for Smith, are you kidding me? If Alex Smith is still the starter they lose the division, miss the playoffs, and i get to lol at you. But instead, harbl made the 1 change i said they needed to in order to get to a SB. But how quickly you forget....if Smith is still starting and they manage to make it to Atlanta, they get throttled in the game.

The best part is that had Matt Ryan done the same thing no one would claim he is elite. Flacco is good, but that post season was a little out of character

Won't deny the Steelers are going downhill. Especially on defense where we have no quality back up safeties (hoping to correct that in this draft) Our corners are adequate only in Taylor/Lewis. No quality back up LB'ers and no quality backup defensive linemen besides 2, Worilds (who I believe is 2nd behind our starting LB'ers in sacks) behind Harrison and Mclendon behind Hampton who has talent just wasting on the bench and coming in to give oldman Hampton a breather.
We used to have the best scouting team building through the draft and making little splash in FA. We have regress lately.

you guys just all got old at the same time and did a really ****ty job addressing the offense outside receivers. if the RB situation panned out and your line stayed healthy i don't think the defense would be so thin. it looks like you are probably going to be losing wallace too, which will open up some cap space so that might be a good thing.
realistically baltimore is facing the same problem but theirs has more to do with everyone's contract coming up at the same time. i guess it worked for them since they got an Owl out of it but Ozzie has his work ahead of him

Yeah, people are quick to point out the Evans drop, but the forget the several balls he just chucked out there in that game that went incomplete and killed drives, and one of those was intercepted by Spikes I think.

I saw that, I'm glad they're giving him another shot. I just really hope he can stay healthy for once in his career. If his knee can stay intact and he can play at a level even close to his pre injury status it would be a huge help in the secondary.

Uhhhhhh really? Because prior to this year, in his 9 playoff games, he averaged a 66 passer rating (read: not QBR), had 8 TDs to 8 INTs, completed 52% of his passes, for a whooping 170 yards per game. So please, spare me the bull**** since you clearly have no clue what you're talking about.
