Im having the same issue with my new spire as well. Tested it at my house when it first arrived and it would keep pulsing, even when the loader/ball stack was full and the gun wasn't being shot or moved (standing upright on a paintball stand). Took it to the field today hoping it just needed to be broken in and after 2.5 cases through it, it is still doing the same thing. I already tried lowering the seetings as suggested in this thread, but have not had any luck. Please help Virtue. To the loaders credit, it fed AMAZING all day and the Crown SF was unbelievable. If it would stop constantly pulsing with a full stack this would hands down be the best loader ever made.

I happens to me on any of the 3 guns I have: geo 2.1, empire axe, and bob long MVP.
I've had the yellow setting at 1 the entire time I've had the spire.
I replace the batteries and it helps for about, half of a day, but then goes back to the constant pulsing. I use mainly lower end paint, but I also use reballs for practice at home and higher end like all star, evil, etc every one in a while in tourneys. I've tryed Duracell, energizer, and cheap knock off brand. The issue persists with all.
The one thing I am noticing is that if I put my fingers in, the paddles bend back on my fingers and keeps spinning if I were in the place of where I'd think a paintball would sit. But if I put my finger closer to the center of the drive come, it stops. So I'm thinking that maybe there could be a multitude of things...
1. The drive come has worn out.
1a. Replace the drive cone.
2. The paint is too small of a bore and the paddles pass under it easily.
2a. The paddles that push the paint could get "beefed up" and/or made longer.
3. The board may be messing up.
3a. Figure out what exactly is messing up and get that fixed.
3b. Change the way that the board works and make it so that the drive cone only spins 1-2 times after then G-Force sensor is tripped and then stop.
4. The sensor for drive pressure is malfunctioning.
4a. Change/fix the sensor.
Those are just my thoughts.

After replacing the board and trying everything that i was told to try with no luck I just sent my Spire back to Virtue. They told me that they will fix it or replace it. I will update when I get it back!

I had this problem. Sent it in to virtue and they updated the drive cone and some other stuff. I guess I had one of the earliest spires. Ever since I got it back the issue has been fixed. Only time it starts to pulse excessively now is when it gets low on batteries

how early is early? IIRC they were first for sale to the public at World Cup , right? Did you get your around then? I got mine out of the first batch my local shop got from Virtue.
Did they make you trouble shoot it with parts first?

I preordered it. I told them what was going on and what I did to troubleshoot it. They then told me to send it in.

Mine is only a few weeks old and having this problem. I ordered it straight from Virtue 2-3 weeks ago. Reading through this thread it seems there are quite a few of us who have "new" loaders who are also experiencing this issue. Hope they can give us a solution...

Yeah mine was relatively brand new...bought only about a month ago and when I started this thread was days after I bought it. Mine is the white and green one which is one of the "newer" colors available from Spire. I haven't had time to call Virtue again yet due to work commitments but that and sending it in I think is the only step I have left at this point. All recomended settings tried, loader cleaned, multiple sets of brand new name brand alkaline and lithium batteries, and a new board from virtue. The older all black Spire I have works fine with good batteries it never has this issue.

If sensitivity setting has been changed and still not working give Virtue a buzz. I called them a while back for a 6 year old board question. Turned out it was my stupidity, but I had A PERSON talk me thru everything and fix it. Top 10 PB company for sure. Bought a spire shortly after.

I have the same problem too. I just got my spire. Whats the deal virtue? I gets annoying pulsing all the time, also probably kills the batteries faster. Please have a fix for this.
Edit: new batteries and a yellow light setting of 1 worked.

Mine goes absolutely crazy after you shoot one ball. It takes me turning it off and then back on for it to go back to normal.
Are there any after market ramps to go inside the spire to get the balls that are in the front of the hopper to roll to the back to be fed into the gun?

^ I got my tray updated as well. Helped a lot with the pulsing. I also got a new spire last weekend and it has a different board in it that does the pulse thing way less than my other older spire. My original one has the 6.6 board and my new one is 7.0.

How common is this issue? I've been thinking about buying a spire for a while now.
