Dye Rotor R2 mystery piece??

I was cleaning my R2 and found this little black pliable rubber piece sitting inside, what is it and how important is it?? Is it replaceable?

Thanks!

It helps to keep the last ball from wanting to popcorn. I would consider it semi-important.

So I called DYE, tech was super un-helpful. Gave me a part number R9401001 to "order a new one on their site" which seemed a little bunk to me anyways, oh well, looked online for the part, can't find the damn part on the DYE site like he said. So I call again, dudes at lunch...we will see....Does Bob Long make Loaders yet??

It attaches here on the arm. Looking at mine, it seem like it would be a paint to try and replace because it looks like its pressed in, and with such a fine piece of plastic, it may break while putting a new one in. Might just be easier and less headache to just replace the whole center arm assembly. Just my 2 cents

I agree, but dealing with DYE has been an absolute joke, horrible customer service

I just did a search for the part as well and couldn't find anything. Your best bet may be to keep trying to work with Dye to get the replacement part. Another option is to check the B/S/T section for a used R2 as a parts hopper.

Do you have a local shop? It may be beneficial to go through them

I don't have a local store. I threw out a WTB thread, It's sad how bad DYE is with their Tech Support...I have WAY too many calls in and "we will call you right backs" and no return. Joke. I am SO thankful Bob Long's tech has done a 180 and I DIDN'T trade my VCOM towards a M2, I will not be a DYE guy anytime soon. Sorry for the thread pointless rant....

I just got off the phone with Dye, they are sending me the part under warranty. Call the main number, then just hit "0". the sales person was pretty goo about it.

I did hit "0" and def spoke with a Sales guy, he said he didn't "think" it was under warranty a warranty part, so I paid 3 bucks for it (def didn't break the bank) but I certainly would not consider them "solid" or consistent.
