Can you tailor paintball pants?

Just curious I just got the new GI pants because of sponsor's and the are rather huge. The are perfectly fine in the waist and legs but rather large in the crouch and thigh area. Wondering if anyone has made an attempt or know if it is possible to have paintball pants tailored at all? I am obviously going to be going to a professional to get it done. But does anyone know if this is remotely possible? Thanks!

It's definetely possible. Depending on exactly how they're put together and how much work it is will determine how much the tailor will charge.

Absolutely. As mentioned it may cost more than dress pants that have a whole lot less stitching. You may also need to specify you want a stronger than normal thread, I assume a fairly robust nylon or similar is used for PB pants.

Let us know how it turned out and what details to mention to the talior? Curious since I might do this too. Maybe...

I get ALL my paintball pants tailored. I just had a pair of 2010 DYE pants done, cost about $40 or $50 bucks because of the work involved but totally worth it. Nothing beats having a pair of pball pants that actually fit you 100%. Pball paints are made to fit a too wide of variety of players unfortunately. I have a small waist but am tall so I have to get the XL pants for the length but the waist never fits me. I take mine to get waist altered and remove the extra bagginess from the pants. The HK line of pants is the fit I like, loose fitting but not baggy in the legs. A good tailor can turn any pair of baggy pball pants into that same style of fit.

Any tailor worth their salt can fine-tune or repair your pb pants.

Good pb pants are extremely complicated and labor-intensive (which is why they cost what they cost, even at overseas construction rates) but an experienced dressmaker or tailor can make relatively quick work with whatever you want done.

Since paintball pants aren't exactly made to precise standards, as the post above indicates, it can be very nice to have a pair that fits YOU perfectly, as opposed to fitting lots of people imperfectly.

You may have to drop some decent coin to get what you want, but then, you don't want what everyone else has, do you?
