What type of orings to use?

Ok so I have a stock 2.0 core and am looking to make a purchase of a bunch of orings and am wondering what type of oring are suggested for everything in the power core.

The stock kit has buna, urathane, and HNBR.
Looking at the below image it shows mainly buna orings.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

DLX recommends urethane for all dynamic orings. Which are the 13/70, 16/70, and 17/70.

Some people have also found positive results using Viton (Brown) and HBNR (Green) Orings. They can be slightly slicker when broken in from what I have read.

Thanks guys. Anyone know of a good place to get urethane orings cheap? Like cheaper than $.50 each?

Ya I went through to get them but they were still $.50 each for the industrial orings paintball specific orings (not sure of the difference) were like 1.80 each.

I placed an order either way and we will see soon.

Someone should buy a large quantity of urethane 13, 16, and 17s and package the extras up in bags and sell them to us Luxe owners.

I've had great luck with urethane and HBNR orings and really bad luck with BUNA orings. Never tried Viton in the Luxe but had success with them in my clone.

What do you mean by bad luck with buna? Not sealing properly? Short life?

I just ordered a 5x powercore rebuild kit in both HNBR and Viton.

I will post back later with some results (what worked/what didn't).

Both. They just haven't been reliable for me in the Luxe. They are the cheapest orings around so clearly DLX would be using them in the Luxe if they consistently worked. DC19 techs my Luxe and he discourages their usage. I gotta say, everything DC19 has told me about the Luxe is true. I've learned to listen to him!

So, would it be worth using hnbr orings inside the can and urethane in the other spots or maybe even hnbr accross the board in place of the urethane's? If thats the case I can get the hnbrs much cheaper.

I'm going to try HNBR's everywhere and Vitons everywhere.

The only o-ring I wasn't sure about replacing is the 15/90 oring. Does the durometer matter a ton? Would a viton work better there as they're a little harder?

I run HBNR oring's for everything inside the can. Buna's always bled alot and had a short life span. Its been two seasons with the same HBNR's inside the can and no issues thus far!

Order them online and there a lot cheaper, i got 20+ greens for a few bucks on amazon or any online oring supplier. I havnt had to replace any so plenty stocked

The greens and urethanes last a really long time.

As for the 15/90, that's a bumper oring. It doesn't seal anything and seems to last an extremely long time. I would not advise replacing it unless it's visibly damaged or you are able to hear metal on metal contact during cycling.

Perfect HNBR's it is. Those are WAY cheaper than Urethane. Thanks for the heads up.

I'd recommend urethane for dynamic seals. And definitely Viton over hnbr for any dynamic seal. Urethane provides the least amount if friction once broken in, and will last substantially longer.
Viton are used as vacuum seals most commonly and are the next most suitable.
