I hate to be the bearer of bad news but.....Audis are the biggest headache EVAR. Mother of God. I have never wanted to drive a car off of a cliff more than an Audi my ex had. They kinda have a tendancy to be one of those "keep for 2 years and get rid of that **** before it spontaneously combusts" kinda deals....to be fair, my ex was full retard, and I swear that dip**** could sniff out a lemon from a mile away and it was always JUST TOO PERFECT TO LEAVE BEHINNNDDDDDDD. Did anyone ever figure out what was wrong with it? What did you have? Any mods?

You can't judge an entire company biased on one bad experience. Myself and family have had good experiences with Audis and 1.8s. Both being for the most part (few small experiences that were frustrating) very reliable.

Haven't been in contact with the dude I sold it to. It had basic Stage 2 equipment.

4.2L Chain engine in the B6/B7 S4's. Had one. Was a great car and engine. The Chains on this thing wouldn't be such a bad idea if they weren't plagued with tensioner issues.

Says the guy who drives a saab.... stop being such a hater all the time. There are tons of people, including myself who have installed their own power-steering cooler (do you even know how easy it is, or do you just judge based upon how it sounds?), it should not be considered a "cheap/ebay" mod, as it does help cool your PS fluid while on a track.
Just because a car is tracked doesnt mean it cant be "babied" cosmetically and mechanically.
Please, post up your recent progress on your car so i can **** all over it like you do to everyone else's car.

A track car is never "babied" much less a modified one. I'd rather jerry rig my own **** than trust someone else to jerry rig something then off load their car on me. Not saying it's a bad car, but it's not babied. Not sure why you think otherwise.

orly? Since when was this car even a "track car" to begin with?
I've tracked my car a few times, and i consider it babied. Hell, after the 3rd time tracking it, i decided to completely rebuild my koni struts for the fun of it. My interior is spotless, all the way down to paying 120$ for a cup-holder because the sizing pieces broke in the previous one. I've replaced every rubber grommet, every link/bolts to all the suspension/sway pivots, TRE's, control arms, axles, CV boots. Replace the oil every 6k miles regardless of the oil change interval of synthetic. Replaced gaskets that were in perfect working order as well as spark plugs and coil-packs.
The word "babied" is subjective. Clearly babied to you means carpet queen.... but for most car enthusiasts, you can still drive and mod a "babied" car.
As for your worries about something jerry rigged by another person... its not hard to look at the PS cooler and see if A) the core is of decent quality. And B) its hooked up correctly. At the end of the day, i'd rather see the car had a DIY PS cooler while it was on a track, than nothing at all. Nonetheless, you talking about buying someone else's modified car than doing it yourself is a completely different topic. The main point was about the term "babied". In which, saying a tracked car with modifications cant be "babied" is simply incorrect. Is there truth to it? Yes, but to completely write the car off as "ridden hard" is a stretch. Especially considering i know the previous owner of this car through forums, and have a good feeling that this car was in fact babied.... the interior certainly shows it.
It'd also be one thing if the car was built to a 2.1L and had a 3076r or comparable PTE turbo. Being a APR stage 1 car... theres no much to "drive hard" as the APR tune is quite conservative to say the least.

I don't live disillusioned to the fact I drive my car hard, still isn't going to be the same as a less spirited driven car that's not modified. I take care of it but it's not babied and neither is yours.
