Everything is up and running now thanks for all the help
Ok so I got this gun and it was leaking. Was told what to do to check and reset the valve with has got the flowing leak down to a tiny one but I cant get the board to shoot. When I first turn ot on it shows a pic of the eye and will shoot once or twice the a pic of two balls comes up bellow it and nothing. I cant figure out how to turn the eyes off (holding the trigger doesn't work) and when I put paint in it I get nothing.
Without paint and air in the gun it won't fire properly, so make sure if you're dryfiring to turn the eyes off (you can unplug them if nothing else) or use demo mode.
If holding in the trigger doesn't turn the eyes off, you might want to check your trigger adjustment to make sure it is actually breaking the beam of the optical switch. If it's not, that would explain all of your problems.
As always, make sure you are using a fresh, new, non-rechargeable 9 volt battery, as battery voltage below 8v can cause all manner of strange eye behavior. And just to be safe, it would be a good idea to clean the eyes with alcohol and a cotton swab to ensure there is nothing mucking them up.
Ahh, gotcha. In that case there's definitely a problem with the electronics. If the board still doesn't respond to trigger pulls after unplugging the eyes, check your trigger adjustment - I would suspect that to the culprit.
The ball indicator comes on when a ball is in place. It will have two lines running through it if the eyes are malfunctioning. If it is coming on when there is no paint in the gun and nothing blocking the eyes, you may have an eye problem. If your battery is under 8 volts that wouldn't be uncommon.
*edit* That makes sense, in demo mode the eyes operate in reverse - with a ball in place the gun will not fire.
If you plan on hanging on to this gun it'd be well worth the few bucks to grab a pair of snap ring/circlip pliers since you'll need to remove the clip every time you service the reg (about every 15-20 cases). They're usually under $10 at an automotive store.
