Etha leaking massive air
just got a new etha and tuned up velocity to about 260 fps only to have it leak massive air. had it looked at and totally tore it apart myself looking for a bad o-ring. found nothing, combed through manual for suggestions and discovered a couple things.
Problem: marker had wrong sized o-ring on valve body - 017 nbr 70
looked at manual page 15 which depicts 4 o-rings, there are actually 5
pulled off each o-ring on valve body and compared to rings on pgs 58 and 59 of manual
installed o-rings 020, 017 and 2x18 - installing 2x18 fixed leak and allowed me to crank velocity to max without leak, awesome
combed through manual to see where 2x18 is used and couldn't find a schematic that shows it. fortunately the spare parts kit has labels and has a very nice stock of spare parts.
compared factory installed/shipped o-ring to rings on pages 58 and 59 and saw the ring most closely matches to 017
problem solved.
