****ing same **** as Kony.
No, it's not. Kony2012 was a blatant scam from a fraudulent organization bent solely on exploiting the American bleeding heart to pad its own pockets from an entirely irrelevant (and now almost non-existent) Congo conflict.
This is a conspiracy theory. There is a difference.
However, I feel in no way would an intelligent conversation about this be capable of happening on this board. Sadly, this whole thing boils down to a big "We don't know". To act like our government is beyond staging a national tragedy for their own exploitation is just as ignorant as claiming it's a conspiracy to begin with. It could have been fake, it could have been a perfectly ordinary psychopathic rampage. Whats sad is that our own media, in an attempt to push out information as fast as they can for the approval of ratings rather than filtering fact from rumor, are the ones responsible for the confusion, inconsistencies, and overall misinformation regarding this whole thing. But it's confusion that is also quite often used to the benefit of those clever enough to take advantage of the average person's overwhelming capacity for feeling outrage and shock as opposed to their ability to think for themselves and question things freely.
An event like this should always be followed with a question most people are too insecure to ever formulate: "What if?"
We can't change things either way, but we have seen the results of this (wide-spread gun control pressure, as well as record-setting increases in gun sales), so what's left to do isn't really about debating what did or didn't happen, but finding out what the REAL agenda is.
