Hey guys,

Just got a relatively inexpensive trilogy pump off ebay.

It is missing the valve stem and valve spring though.

I have tried searching online and cannot find anywhere that sells them

any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, do not take your pick out of those cup seal/valve stems. The Trilogy takes a 11/16 valve, a standard valve will not fit. This one has everything:

Valve stem for trilogies is the same as normal 'cockers, the valve body is what changes; he's only looking for a valve stem, not the whole thing. That's $23 for the least expensive valve stem & spring against $40 for the whole thing.

Thanks guys. I actually think I have a spare standard cocker exhaust stem. Any type of spring interchangeable with the trilogy valve spring? Obviously not autococker because Trilogy is like 4 times the length, but i have heard Spyder might work?

I also read something about if you change to a spyder valve spring you need a harder main spring, such as standard autococker?

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

also, whats the deal with the palmers stem being cheaper than a stock stem?

Yep, spyder mainsprings will work, better yet if you have a spyder spring kit, you can tune the valve for lower operating pressure.

The stock spyder mainspring is pretty stiff, so you might need a stronger 'cocker mainspring to counter this.

If you have the spyder spring kit, I'd recommend the lightest one, if you don't I'd suggest getting a spring kit for spyders and one for 'cockers and using the lightest spyder spring and the ligthest 'cocker spring that will get you to the desired fps.

I have no idea, might not be selling well because the brass gives it a dated look (yes, most paintball players are that fickle).

ansgear sells complete standard valves for $15. might be the cheapest bet to get a new valve stem. you might be able to find one in the bst here too.

yes trilogies use cocker main springs and spyder valve springs.

Thanks for all your help guys, I am gonna try and tackle this issue tomorrow when i have some spare time, and if i can;t find the parts I'll have to order them.

I cannot seem to find that stock valve for $15 on ANS gear, all I can find is their valve, but that's standard cocker size and uses a totally different stem/seal combo.

I might just end up getting one of those palmers stems, dropping it into my 03 black magic pump, and taking the stock stem from there and putting it into the trilogy pump.....

A stock exhaust valve stem, and stock spyder spring fixed the issue perfectly. I used standard spyder main spring as the valve spring, and a spring valve spring (slightly tapered design) as my main spring. Put the IVG in flush with the back of the body. First reball came out at 240 fps, which will be about 280 fps when using normal paint. Spot on.
