Will new 2013 Gun Laws Effect Paintball?
I am not try to start WW3 amongst the nation.
However, Do you think in the recent craze people may misconstrude our sport as voilence?
I hope people realise that all guns are tools, and its up to the shooter to make sound choices.
But,
I am asking Pbnation to become more PC about paintball...
say marker not gun. teach a walk-on to respect his piece and do your part to safeguard paintball.

At this time, no. Paintball markers are designated in the same category as airguns, and not as firearms.
The markers/guns thing actually goes back a very long way, back to the late 90's or so. APG and Jessica Sparks kind of spearheaded that effort. As admirable as the concept is, we as a sport don't really have the pull to use a single word to influence people to our way of thinking.
Generally, for myself, my terminology varies. If I'm talking with people who are familiar with paintball, I can talk about my guns. If I'm talking with someone who very obviously has no idea what paintball is (you say you play ping-pong?), then I talk about markers.
Standard disclaimer - I am not a lawyer, the above is not legal opinion or advice.

No.
Paintball guns are not considered firearms by any federal agency at all and that's not going to change any time soon.

If paintball really enters the gun reform conversation, I'm moving to Canada.

Consider Japan.
If possible, someone please dig up Facefull's quasi-recent article on Japan's paintball scene. It was pretty awesome.
Now, knowing what you know about world history, take a moment to let the words "Japan's paintball scene" sink in.
The short version is that at some point prior to the mid 20th century, Japan started acting like free-wheeling lunatics so we had to nuke them. Now to this day they can never have an invading army and as such, they have the most ludicrous gun laws on the face of the earth, something their citizens have absolutely ZERO say in.
You know what? Their paintball community is doing just fine. A little strange (below 150 fps by law) but fine nonetheless. Thats more than i can say for the paintball-apocalypse the OP is predicting.
We are a democracy filled with people who love both guns and paintball, usually in that order depending on what part of town you're from. It doesn't matter what people in congress or Obama or lobbyists or anyone else could ever want for paintball, they 100% CANNOT BAN IT. this gun bs does not touch us. The idiots shooting stop signs for kicks are NOT the crazy nutjobs shooting up kids. They're just idiots. we all know this. seriously, quit this nonsense because it doesn't affect us. that's not being ignorant, its 100% true.

Interesting fact: The reason Japan has these tough gun laws and a limit on the size of the army, only allowing them to have a relatively small defensive force is because after world war II when japan surrendered the United States rewrote their constitution.
