I think they need to close the gun show loophole where you can get one with basically no information. I'm all about responsible people with guns.

Not really sure where the paranoia about the government wanting this so they can take over the country is coming from. It's really really really stupid. The one valid argument for gun ownership is property protection, where it is a valid and successful idea.

But obesity kills you. Not the other people in the room, when they had nothing to do with it except being next to you.

I don't know. Imagine mr. mc-fatty guy having a heart while driving on the road because he can't walk anywhere. They need stricter car and license laws before gun laws.

I also see no point in anything considered an assault weapon. And kudos to the govt for finally catching up with some of the other countries out there who have very strict gun laws and have a large decrease in gun violence because of it.

Also, time for dinner.

I don't agree with a lot of things and you make a good point. Obesity is probably a more pressing issue it's one of those hidden things no one will attack because more than likely someone is backed someone else's political campaign. For goodness sake it isn't even real meat they're feeding people.

My guns have never been used to kill anyone....and a determined individual can be just as effective with a baseball bat or knife if they have it in their mind to kill someone.

My "argument" is to show how absurd their's is. If you think your paintball guns will be safe if the president gets his way you are mistaken...it's only a matter of time before they get those too. Once you start to willingly give up freedoms it's only a matter of time...thank you TSA

Yeah now is where the conspiracy stuff comes into play. Sorry but a "determined" individual with a bat is not as effective as someone with a forearm spitting out rounds every time he moves his finger. Yes he may kill someone but the fact that he can't do it repeatedly (not without a TON OF EFFORT or PCP) should show that assault weapons are far more dangerous.

Other countries have mil sim markers banned because that's just how strict they are. I feel like hunting weapons and pistols should be the only thing you can buy. If someone is posing a threat to me and I need to take action I'm sure a 9mm would be just fine I don't need to shoot him 20 times to get a point through. There also shouldn't be a reason to carry around more than one clip.

Then it's also if this ban does get passed will it be supported by the people? Who will enforce it?

If I wanted to live in Europe to have my life mandated to me...I would live there. A 9mm FMJ NATO round does jack squat to stop a determined attacker.

Obamacare was passed as well...and there 27 state suing the government to not have to abide by it. At this point I say we agree to disagree and leave the thread to more enjoyable pursuits...like pics of gingers.

Ah. I have never had any issues with them on the phone. If you haven't found out by tomorrow, I will call and ask.
