yes, this is awesome news, glass is kinda funky and looks like a PITA to clean.
just grabbed another Southern Tier Backburner and an Allagash Curieux which, coincidentally, was brewed on my birthday last year.
edit: just looked up the list for the Beer fest im going to friday night, Extreme Beer Fest: Night of the Barrels. I might be dead before saturday, but it will be a good death drowning in all the delicious. http://beeradvocate.com/ebf/friday

I wasn't a huge fan of the glass design, as the guys on SomethingAwful said, it looks an awful lot like a buttplug. Their previous glass did too. hehe.

La Cumbre's Full Nelson DIPA tonight. Man this beer smells so amazing, gives me a good idea for a nice Nelson Sauvin hopped IPA.

Drank green flash friendship brew last night. Probably pop the st fuellien one tonight.
EBF postponed due to the weather
Edit: nelson sauvin is a really nice hop, actually most hops from that part of the world are. Motueka is one of my favorite.

Supposedly my local bottle shop got the following in this week (well as of 4 days ago, who knows what's left):
Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA 750oz. Bottle 7.5 $12.99
Goose Island Bourbon County Stout 2012 12oz. 4 Pack Bottles 15.0 $23.99
Lagunitas Sucks Brown Sugga Substitute 12oz. 6 Pack Bottles 7.85 $12.00
Spiteful GFY Imperial Stout 22oz. Bottle $9.99
Three Floyd's Behemoth Barleywine 2012 650oz. Bottle 10.5 $19.99
Three Floyd's Gumballhead 12oz. 6 Pack Bottles 5.5 $13.00
Three Floyd's Zombie Dust 12oz. 6 Pack Bottles 6.4 $13.00
Going to stop by today and see if they have the Sucks and any Zombie Dust left, I have never had any of the Three Floyd's stuff before (or even seen it), but chances are it'll be gone.

That sucks. Guess you'll have to start drinking more?
Buddy's birthday last night, we drank Darkness and Speedway Stout before going out. The local brewery had a smoked porter that was good, and a real impressive Scotch Ale called "Groundskeeper Willie".
The gem of the night was Top Gun IPA, not just because it was a great beer, but also because they were showing Top Gun at the bar. I took a growler of that home, which my roommate and I will be drinking this evening before going to see Top Gun in 3D IMAX.

I'm drinking the Victory at Sea now, I will be honest and say that this is the first time I have ever bought a Ballast Point beer (I often buy beer solely on the aesthetics of the bottle if I have not heard of the brewery before, and these labels blow).
But, since I have been frequenting this thread, beer advocate and the something awful beer thread more I'm more in tune with "what's hot".
So far, despite decimating my wallet, it has worked out well. This IS a most excellent imperial porter, and as a coffee snob I am really digging it. I'm not usually much of a porter fan (more of a stout man) but this is definitely very drinkable despite being 10% abv.

victory at sea is awesome. it's better fresh though because coffee and vanilla fades quickly. and what isn't awesome about a skeleton driving a ship?
still recovering. my head hurts a little today but I haven't taken any pain killers since yesterday morning.
anybody want to trade beer for greenbacks?

The smaller breweries in town are infinitely more exciting places to drink at than Breck/Wynkoop/Avery/Great Divide. The beers have such a sense of adventure about them, 95% of the people drinking there at any given time are beer nerds, and the employees can tell you so much more about each individual brew.

I'm really thinking about throwing down on some pliny
I know we talked about it before, but my memory is terrible. Do you or anyone else know of some good spots to beer/booze it up in/around the Pismo Beach/San Luis Obispo areas? I've got a buddy flying in there and we're gonna meet up and drink the town.

Firestone Walker is in Paso Robles. They also have a barrelworks they just opened in Buellton.
I don't keep Pliny laying around but I could be incentivised to make the trip. Places here limit it to a bottle per person per visit. next time I'd be willing to go is Washington's Birthday since I'd have it off and wouldn't have to deal with the weekend lines.
Just bought Duvel Rustica, Jolly Pumpkin Noel de Calabaza, Drake's Black Robusto Porter, and Karl Strauss Barrel Aged Wreck Alley which I'm anticipating to be a bit of a let down. It only spent three months in barrels.

You have any reccomendations for places to stop at? A buddy of mine and I are heading to Boulder in May to see Opeth, and I was planning on stopping in at Avery, but I'm down to try smaller places too.
Pregaming with an Elevated IPA before heading downtown to the That 1 Guy show, where I'll be drinking copious amounts of PBR. What can I say I'm a cheap bastard at shows and PBR tallboys are only $2.

drank enjoy by and Loomis Basin Jacked Again last night since I didn't have any tylenol that day. Currently drinking Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Banana beer which is about as disappointing as I thought it would be. the smell was decent like the maple bacon beer but it once again lacked follow through in the taste.
concussions really **** with your sleep cycle. I don't think I was able to hit the point in sleep where you dream since the accident until Friday night.
unless things have changed drinking in CO at a brewery kinda sucks because they don't usually have food. Great Divide had some bar snacks for sale and Avery had a taco vendor but the only place that brewed on premises and had a restaurant was Boulder Brewing Co. Boulder is cool to go to because that place is held together with duct tape and bubble gum and at the end of the tour you got to try a sample of all their beers. Mountain Sun and Southern sun are pretty good brewpubs in Boulder as well.

May or may not have tickets for that show already, I've wanted to see Opeth for sooooo long.
As for places in town I've been digging, Our Mutual Friend and River North have been standouts for me. RiNo are releasing a bunch of barrel aged brews for their 1 year anniversary coming up, pretty excited for the tapping.

found some of this at Bevmo last night! Pretty damn excited to try. Don't think i've had "triple" IPA yet. Gonna follow it with one of my homebrew Black IPA's when they are finished carbonating. Can't wait!
Any of the other home brewer's interested in swapping, perhaps bomber for bomber??

what did you get at bevmo? Simtra?
drinking Brooklyn Sorachi Ace. It's a damn fine saison. I was torn between drinking thins and The Tide and Its Takers by Anchorage but with this one I made room in the chest freezer for bbl aged old rasputin so I can do a vertical of 14 & 15 in the near future. drinking almost 40 dollars in beer in one night sounds a little stupid though...
