It was pretty messy. I am still trying to figure out what happened. We dominated all morning in the prelims, 6 wins 2 losses. Somehow we ended up second. They told me it was a tiebreaker that went to the lowest time but looking at the scoreboard, this doesn't make any sense. http://www.paintball-players.org/sco...es/s3_c12.html
That only shows us loosing one game in prelims but Etowah lost two to us. Then the rules say that if there are only 3 teams in the event, the third place team after prelims is done and first and second play for the win in finals. Well, a 4th team had signed up and paid but didn't show up. They even redid the schedule to take them out but for some reason we played the third place team and had a very unusually quick loss. We shouldn't have even played that match. We got on the phone with "Joe" who made the decision for that match to stand so we ended up last after whipping everyone all morning. One ref told us we had to switch to semi and not ramp then later denied it. We got it on video. It didn't impact the outcome of anything but just one more thing to add to the chaos. Spencer played very well and led the guys perfectly. Caleb and Drew also outplayed everyone. The first place team had some D4 players that had been playing for 2 or 3 times longer. The guys communicated well on the field and looked very impressive. Everyone, including the spectators admitted that we should have won the event. One strange game in the finals that we shouldn't have been playing anyway turn the whole outcome for us.
