Ion leaking between frame and body! Help!
Hey everyone. I've never owned an Ion until recently when I picked one up in a package deal. I have to admit, it shoots a lot better than I was expecting. I plan on just selling the marker though, since I mostly play pump anyways. But due to my OCD, I can't sell the marker until I fix it. When I aired it up, it shot but had a bad leak from between the frame and body. The guy I bought it from said it was the banjo fitting, but now it's leaking from a little hole in the side of the reg (it has an aftermarket reg, if that makes a difference) and I can't tell if it's leaking from the blue hose or the banjo fitting (I know it's not coming from the back banjo fitting, the air is coming from the front). Has anyone had similar problems before? And which one of these do I need for the front banjo fitting?

The reg could be anything but it depends on what kind of reg it is you will need the bigger banjo the 5/32 one for the front banjo above the reg

Thanks. I'm not sure what kind of reg is on it, there's no markings on the reg and it was on the marker when I bought it. It's just a chrome reg. Would it help if I posted a pic of it?

A picture would help determine what reg it is.
For your hose/banjo leak, undo the banjo and check the condition of the oring. Also, pop out the hose (works the same way as a macro fitting) and check to see whether the end is cut square (it may leak if it isn't) or if the hose is too long (this wouldn't allow the banjo to seal correctly).

Thanks, I'll look at it tomorrow. I'll also try to get up a pic of the reg since I'm curious what kind it is

You sure its not from the solenoid? That and hose leaks at the banjo fittings are pretty common. I'd replace all hoses and then go from there... There have been many times where i've spent hours trying to find the root of a leak, and then when i just started going 1 by 1 and replacing things, i was able to narrow the leak down a lot better.

Yeah, I know it's leaking from around the banjo fitting. Heres the pictures of the reg. Does anyone know what kind it is? There's no writing on it anywhere.

Leak from the little hole in the side of the reg? Rebuild the reg. Don't remember if it's a simple o-ring replacement, or if you need to replace the reg seat, which is a tiny rubber hockey puck looking thing that most regs have.
