Demon 2k13d
I received my demon today,
Took it out of the box and noticed that my frame and body have a gap of about 1/8 now.
Has something changed that could be doing this? I didnt have any gap before that
After looking into this closely, I noticed that when I take off the Air tunnel between the body and frame, the gap is closed. So maybe I got a wrong piece and its 1/8 too long?
Also have a leak coming from near the trigger frame, not exactly coming from trigger, with the gap I can hear it a little better, I tought it was the little tube that connect the frame and body air passage.
This Is after the 2013 mods
This is before the mods

talked to him on facebook, said it might be the frame not tight enough, but the screws are as tight they can be,
Like I said its feels liks the thingy connecting air to the body(dont know the name of this piece) is a tad to long
For the Leak, I cant see wich oring it is, I changed the 021 on the can, but I dont have any spare oring for the rest of the bolt so I cant change them, and also there should have had some shuttle oring included in the box with the gun when it came back

For the frame, i'd gently take it off and make sure no solenoid wires were trapped when putting it together. Also check the solenoid is actually pushed in and secured down correctly (sometimes they need a gentle tap to get them positioned nicely).
The back screw is what brings the frame together - so check it hasnt been crossthreaded.
Either way, don't know why VG sent it back like that :/

You dont know how much trouble I went trought this gun, and how much money I spent on it to make it work. I could have bought a brand new and Spire combo so far.
I sent it to be 2k13d in hope to be done and actually play with it, Received it and already leaking and with that ugly gap.

I checked le lenght of the tube bringing air the manifold from the frame
14.71 mm
Is that standard for 2013 manifold?

I'm no expert but.......what I would do is try to simply remove the noid and manifold first. Then try the grip frame on, if it fits properly then add one piece and try again. Over and over until you find what's causing the issue. I'm sure Frank could fix it but it would be nice if you figured it out so your gun would be working quicker.
Once you find the culprit it may even be a simple fix. Like a deformed oring keeping the manifold from sitting flush. Or bundled up noid wires taking up space or a screw not screwed in all the way.

Yeah i did that, and found out its the cylinder piece with 2 x 008 orings that connects the manifold and frame.
I making a new piece with .040 shorter and will see how that fits
For the leak i cant see what causes this.

This is the piece I was talking about,
On the right is the new one we made, 0.40 shorter then the original one.
Now my frame and body are connected perfect.
Gun is still leaking

Thats what I was talking about for the leak.
Check the shuttle is on the right way and the orings are good.

finally fixed everything.
Yeah shuttle was on rhe righr way, but the back inside oring was dented. Leak is fixed
Had to go to the machine shop to make a new piece and that really sucks.

The weird part is......I would think that piece would have been the same one you had in the gun before the update. Unless they changed it out thinking they needed more depth in the new manifold?
Vanguard upgrade centers take note I suppose. Good job on getting it going though, you certainly went out of your way.

Good question Matt and I will look into it. I did not replace that piece in your marker. Your marker was one of the original ones so maybe the the manifold was different. Sorry I did not catch it.

I dont know i only looked at the original one i designed, i was nothing to do with the 2013 setup. It looks like it was just a simple mistake like an odd transfer tube, otherwise all the other conversions would have been the same issue.

To clear this up,
Your marker looks like one of the original vanguard factory guns, if I'm correct then that's the issue, that was an early prototype version and the grip frame was 2nm thinner where it meets the body, I'm guessing that when it was upgrade the standard transfer tube got put in there, which with the more narrow frame would stop them joining correctly.
Hope this helps
