When someone I know is being dumb, there comes a time when I'll back off and just say "well, it's your show, so whatever happens next is on you". What a nice guy. I'm the guy that runs a quick analysis in my head. If I know they won't get hurt, hurt someone else or if I can't fix it. I'll tell them. Especially with my kids. I'll give them the "you sure you want to do that" and let it fall where it may

So my sister and I had an old BMW we shared to get to High School and it lived at home for when we were home from college and needed a vehicle. My sister, being on a very strange schedule, has this semester off (because she took a summer semester) and has been driving the car to an internship. It started having problems about a week after I went back to school and my parents told me that it would cost too much to fix.

So RIP to my BMW 323i. May it enjoy the great Autobahn in the sky.

I don't know my parents just mentioned it when I called home. Something catastrophically wrong with the engine was what I heard. We have a family friend who runs a German vehicle garage and he apparently looked at it and said it would cost more to fix than the car was worth.
