Ok so i was offered a trade for a 09 geo for my 08 ego. I've alwys had egos but have never had my hands on a geo. my ego is a monster never breaks down or have problems of any kind so I don't really want to let it go unless the geo is as reliable. It seems to be in good working order. I've herd geos are air hogs. I guess what I'm asking is it a good trade. Are the geo known to have problems and if so what are the main ones that pop up
Honestly Ive never had a problem with any of the geos Ive owned. Ive herd of the pilot valves dieing after shooting hundreds of thousands of shots but that's about it. I haven't cleaned or taken my geo apart for almost a whole season and i haven't had a single problem. Just like the ego geos are work horses. The efficiency isn't the best but its not the worst. If you were offered a straight trade for the geo id do it for sure.
I've owned Geo+, Geo2, 08 Ego, 09 Ego, and a Ego10. Still have my Geo+ and Geo2 for now, up for sale, and my 08 Ego. The benefits of the egos are they have better efficiency. The benefits of the geos are they have less kick and are quieter. The 2's are more efficient then the +. They both are reliable markers. It is up to you and your preference. Do you want a spool valve or a poppit? How does each one feel to you? If you were near me I would let you try my geos.
