No he didn't. If he was running 2nd or 3rd, then yeah that move would have likely worked. But he and Martin were 4th and 5th in line. They should have known that Jimmie was going to pull out in front of them and put the block on. And being that they're teammates, he wasn't going to try anything that might risk taking one or both of them out.

Which is why I don't have any problem with how people feel about this. I feel the same way sometime and almost turned it off yesterday it was so boring.

Who said anything about wrecking? Racing =/= wrecking.
No one wants to watch them "cruise" around the top for 400 miles. But as you put it, if they "raced" the entire way there wouldn't be any one left. So if that's the case, lets shorten it to 100 laps.

Yep. Weren't all 3 cars involved in a wreck? Harvick was in the first, Burton slammed into the wall, and didn't Dillon get caught up in a late one?

If Mark had been able to stay on him he would have had a shot, or maybe if this had been Dega it would have worked. Regardless, I think Jimmie proved Sunday that running first isnt the worst place to be with 10 to go.

It gets boring, sure. Almost all races do. I'm not a huge proponent of how yesterdays race was run, but it is what it is. Its a 500 lap race not only based on driving skill in a the short term but endurance. Its kinda ya know, half the point.

Racing leads to wrecking on these tracks. Every time these guys get chippy and start passing and moving, a wreck happens. The two go hand in hand, if you havent figured that out by now I'd have to question what you've been watching all these years.

A Jimmie Johnson voodoo doll would be a great seller at NASCAR races. A man could get rich quick selling those.

They were driving just fine the first part of teh race 2 wide. And the wreck caused by Kyle Busch had nothing to do with the inside line. It was simply because the top line got bottlenecked up.
Jr. has been saving fuel so hopefully the first 3 will have to check up on these final laps or run out

Good to see Edwards win today Not my favorite driver, but I definitely support the guy and it's nice to see his winless streak snapped.

I want to go to that race. Tickets probably going to be expensive though.
Actually I would love to go camp out for the weekend and see the trucks, nationwide, and of course, the cup drivers.
I remember like in 06 or something when Jr. and Kyle Busch both crashed. Busch pouted and left the track then Jr. hopped in the #5 car and raced some more lol.

Fantastic is an understatement?
He pretty much lost the chase due to that last year. And as much as I don't like Jeff Gordon, it was awesome seeing him edge out Busch by 1 or 2 points last season to make the chase.

So the guy who runs the radio station I used to work for posts questions on FB daily, and this was one of them today:
Quote:
|
Question#1..Should DENNY HAMLIN a NASCAR driver be suspended for a yr after refusing to pay 25,000 for using the word N*GGER?
|
I corrected him in the thread and told them the real reason is being fined, but I intentionally left out that he is probably thinking of Jeremy Clements being suspended for using a racial slur.

And he runs a radio station?
As for the fine, I agree with Hamlin's stance.

I hope Logano takes out Hamlin next week.
Might be getting free tickets to either the NRA 500 or the Busch series race before that. Possibly even both.
