I am a paintballer thinking bout maybee getting into airsoft as well.
How do you stop cheating? airsoft bbs dont leave a distinguishable mark on clothing.

For the most part, people are honest. I call all of my hits (unless I don't feel them, which does happen) and the game is very challenging and fun. If I encounter someone that's blatantly not calling their hits I'll aim for soft spots, like the neck, knuckles or inner thigh, and if they still don't call it I'll tell a ref. It also helps to have a gun that does safe/semi/9rd burst at 20rps.

Like stated above u will never stop it just as in paintball but most places give you a warning if ur caught and then throw you out if you do it against

Major reason I play paintball only. No marks to me invites cheating. To illustrate my point paintball can be played competitively PSP, NPPL, etc. where air soft cannot.

I was curious about this when I started to, but I've found most people to be extremely honest in airsoft. Coming from a paintball background I found it very easy to cheat in airsoft, and won a lot early on because of it (something I'm not proud of). As I grew into the sport, it became more about being good, not cheating. there was nothing on the line at the end of the day, so it became foolish to cheat.
