Assembling free Viking (and failing)

So I am handy when it comes to carbonated big block engines not so much with paintball trinkets .

I got a Viking from a friend problem is it wasn't assembled .

The noid eyes and trigger are all mounted and hooked up . These work

However the regulator leaks from the hole in the side , I can throw a dye regulator on it but I would rather get the aka reg working . Think I put it together wrong .

Also there is a leak out the back of the valve where the bolt
Is . It is an 03 with a Rob town valve

I put the lpr in the left side and the valve on the right tube with the plug in the side .

Also why are there so many plugs
On the side of the gun , are these bleed valves .

If the reg leaks then you probably have a bad oring or the brass seat is damaged. If possible go back to the stock setup. I haven't had much success with the rob town valve. If your stuck with the robtown then you should try replacing the orings on the valve. They are #015 poly's and are easy to damage during install.

There is nothing wrong with the robtown....I have the very first one we installed at DC to do testing...It has well over 1 miliion shots on it...never changed an oring, never had a leak. That being said there may be a bad oring in the cartridge...

What does the brass seat look like in the sidewinder ? I had something
That looked like a brass shim
That was thinner but left it out because I couldn't figure out where it
Went based on the black and white diagram in the manual

Also if I am looking down the feedback , the left Tube has the LPR right ? The right tube has the valve and ram
Behind it .

The gun is leaking out of the area where the bolt pin attaches to the ram . I think it's leaking around the valve . Is that set screw on the right side of
The gun supposed to hold the valve in place ? Or
Is it just a plug ?

Also you guys know how they want a 017 oring between the bottom
Half and the reg extender , if I used a 16 instead could that cause thE leak

Air leak from the hole in the side of the sidewinder can be 2 orings. The bigger one around the top of the piston, or the small one that seal around the stem of the piston, in the bottom part of the reg. Now that you say you left out the brass washer, that can be your problem. That brass washer/shim holds the small oring were it belongs. Without it, the oring will move with the piston and not seal, and you'll likely hear a nice big leak from the side hole of the sidewinder.

Put dow55 if you can on the orings on the body of the RTvalve. Iirc, the orings grooves were cut deeper on that valve, so orings will leak easier. Dow55 is supposed to swell orings. Also, the setscrew that hold the valve in place, don't screw it tight to the valve body, that will push the valve body and make the orings leaks. Just screw the setscrew until it only touches the valve, that's it.

Starting to sound more like the hammer cartridge. Try changing the #10 oring that sits in the cap and the #15 front oring.
