WHAT ANGEL IS THIS????????????????????????????????? Angel speed 05 or 06 how to tell?

http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.p...600&highlight=

Wondering how to tell the difference between the 2 Speed models, 05 and 06.

Can anyone show me a few things to look for between the 2? Been researching today and in the past, still not sure how to tell.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It has been a while but i beleive the 06 speed used the shorter A1 barrel thread. this is why the front of the 06 speed is recessed in the front were the barrel screws in. The 05 is not recessed. Also, i think the 06 had a better valve than the 05. I had them both at one time. Both great guns but I think the 06 had the slight refinements stated above that made it slightly more appealing.

Thanks I will look for that, and yes I'm aware the 06 is refined and that's why the difference is important to me lol. I just don't know is they are different visually. Thanks again for your input.

Easiest why to tell by looking at them is the 05 has 2 veneer wheels for the trigger adjustment. The 06 only has the one.

yep

OR

ya look at the front, got a curved wave milling cut back of the front of the body where the barrel goes, 06 speed

also, look at the back of the body, got a pull knob? if ya do its an 05 speed, if ya got a little lever lock, 06 speed.

or....

front of the body where the barrel goes in, is it flush with the ram and lpr tubes? 05 speed

lastly

does the back look like a g7 style backplate, or an A4 / A4 Fly backplate? if its an a4 / a4 fly backplate, 05 speed, if its a g7 style backplate, 06 speed.

Did all the 06 speeds come with the locking arm instead of knob? Curious, my 06 speed has a locking knob, but that could have been swapped in.

Actually, yeah, the 06 Speeds had a breech knob like the A1 series instead of the flip-up arm that also covered the on/off switch. The A1 series breech knobs are also compatible with all of the G7 series guns, so some people swapped in an A1 breech knob to replace the swing arm on their G7s and G7 Flies as well.
