Witch barrel would you choose?

My marker is the older bko. I am wondering what barrel do you all feel is the best. Normally all I shoot is tc venom and sometime 32 degrees team colors. Just looking for opions wether you think a freak kit or some cheaper single barrels whatever. I just want to know what evreybody is using and what everybody likes.

J & J Edge Kit!

I bought mine for $115 shipped from Paintball-Discounters.com . It came with a tip, 4 bore backs, and a nice hardside plastic case. I've been very happy with its performance. I think this kit is hard to beat for the price.

I love my freak. I dont like dye barrels because it was as accurate as my stock barrel. Maybe it was bad paint.

go with a freak... not bad at all... sometimes it sucks because crappy paint breaks easily if you dont size the bore correctly (actually all paint does that w/ mine.... ) but the freak isnt bad... you can find one for 130 never used here on pbnation. good stuff.

Dye ultralite is what you should get. Freak kits suck b/c they bend and are held together by o-rings ... stiffis are sick but the bore pattern makes em less accurate than ultralite...don't get boomy they are too heavy.
Just my 2 cents

go with a solid bore back kit like the CP kit, jnj kit,.. trust me you'll be happier in the long run. freaks are ok but there is a reason why most barrel companies are using solid bore backs instead of inserts. The few companies that still use inserts have modified thier design to try and overcome the flaws, some have added o-rings. some have used chamferd edges, compression locks and so on. It actually amazes me that SP has not changed thier design yet and continues to put out a product that they knoww has flaws.

A freak with stainless steel inserts? Those would be hard to bend. They have they at actionvillage.com but they dont have them on sp's web site. Weird.

J&J full tilt ceramic is the way to go. Shoots darts and is one of the best cleaning barrels ever pretty much anything J&J is a great product. To save $ buy a ceramic 1 piece $40 new it the one barrel that Ive havent ever consider selling then If you like it you can get the 2pc with a different bore. Just try not to get something with massive amounts of porting if you want to make your bushy shoot like a champ Custom product barrels are also very nice w/minimal porting

Toklas's advice along with others on the solid back system is dead on.

J & J edge , Empire , CP. All those can be had in one configuration or another for $150 or less new.
