I have heard nothing but good things about the tippmans so I decided to pick up a couple of them off of craigslist. I haven't made the trade with the guy yet tomorrow hopefuly depending on his work schedule but I will be getting and electronic A5 and a 98 custom pro. I am suppose to be getting a Alpha black from another guy. I basicaly decided to pick these guns up so me and the kids can go out in the woods and play, my son that shows the most interest in the sport isn't ready to hit an actual field yet. Waiting to see his reaction the first time he get's hit with a paintball. I plan to do some customizing to these guns when I get them. I'll be sure to post pics.

Good to hear! As a father who got his son started playing...let me give you some advice....let them play with the markers and then "upgrade" them as necessary. Watch out for the bolt on crap that only adds weight and no actual benefit to the marker.

Yeah he want's to play speedball at the local field with me,I want him to play but just not sure if he is ready to get hit with 3 an 4 shots at a time. I picked up a spyder e99 avant the other day i'm gonna let him use for speed ball. If he likes the game an plans to stick with it then i'll drop some money on a more decent marker for him.

Pretty awesome you are getting your kid into paintball. My dad never did anything that cool.

Awesome. My two boys got me into playing and now we play every week! Been playing renegade games out in the desert with 9-10 people and having a blast. I got a Tippmann 98c, put a 14in CP barrel on it last night and it shoots great.

Use the a5 for yourself and make sure that you remeber that tippmans are milsim so they are heavier and sturdier than other guns. dont be afraid to beat them up.
