High volume Invert mini back cap

Would drilling holes to increase the volume make the mini shoot more like the axe? I know that the main difference pneumatics wise is the volune behind the poppet, so would this help? Also, would I be able to chrono with this large air colune behind the poppet? I am afraid that it will have the same effect as turninf the back cap out more, but thrn again, I might be able to lower the psi.

Where are you drilling the holes?

Yes, adding volume will increase the velocity the same as turning the backcap. And yes, you can turn down the pressure to counteract this.

I was thinking of drilling them into the inside face of the cap. I would drill them in a circle around where the spring needs to contact.
