I think all of the gbe Dell switches have four 1gb SFPs up front, except for the 5548 which has two 10gb SFPs. The 6200s and 7000s have two expansion bays in the back for stacking, 10gbe, or 10gb SFPs. These two are waiting for their redundant power hardware and their stacking modules.

Dell's CLI is similar to IOS. Close in a lot of ways, not close in others.

Oedipus supports DLX Technology
They're layer 3 switches. They do route, but most people only use the routing functions for inter-VLAN traffic. I don't think there's any NAT or firewall functionality on them.

Ya, 6200/7000/8100 series are all L3. The 5500/3500 series are L2 with full management and the 2800 series is web managed L2.

I'm trying to get a network analyst job the school system has open, but the ****ing thing they use for applications is buggy as ****.

I'm going to have to email the dude I think is over the network ****, and ask him to take a look at my resume, and tell me why I'm not qualified for the job.

It's not an admin position, it's more like.. regular maintenance type thing.

probably something to do with the lack of exp. with the whole network design, implementation, and administration part...

But I've built **** in Packet Tracer, so close enough right?
