matrix help

Just picked my first matrix up, and have a few questions. Did a quick look around and didn't find my answers, so here it goes!

First off, what type of board would I need to track down to be able to shoot modern modes (psp, capped semi, etc.)?

Is tracking an aftermarket trigger worth it? Would say, a nice curved CP trigger make it all that much faster, the trigger geometry was definitely not ahead of its time...

Also, what would you guys recommend for back pulse time? Mine was set at 25 ms and that seems kinda off to me for some reason.

I'm not sure how you missed the link entitled "Every Single Bit Of Matrix Info That Exists In The World" which is stickied, but here you go.

I only found half an answer looking through that, that the cp trigger is 'nice'

I still would like to know how hard it is to find those aftermarket parts, and I still couldn't find a recommended back pulse time, much less a good sample size from several different experienced matrix owners.

I go into a good bit of detail on front/back pulse here: http://www.pblegion.com/showpost.php...25&postcount=8
The long and short of it is unless you have a compelling reason to change the back pulse, you should leave it alone.

The benefit of the CP trigger is a.) that it is physically lighter than all other triggers and b.) that the second gen ones (most common) lopped the 'tail' off where normally there'd be a post-travel adjuster screw. Not only did this further lighten it in weight alone, there is uh, it's been a while since physics, centripetal force in each trigger pull. In the end it really does feel 'nice'.

As for boards I would go with Tadao. Will at Tadao will still flash them if you contact him. Get the CP its worth it. The tadao might take some time to track down but the CP triggers are still sold on the CP webpage. The price is a lil on the high side but it cuts out all the looking.

Tadao, virtue or a lucky with a updated chip of choice. They're all equally expensive. $40-60.

OR you could piss Bones off and put a UL Frame on it and then use the DM4-5 Boards. . .

It depends on the UL frame if Im not mistaken V. IIRC the D4/5 took a different board than the DM6-10. The DM11-13 Are also different and so are the NTs. Dye kinda screwed the pooch when they messed with the boards.

Err maybe the stock DM4/5 took that squareish board and the DM4/5 UL took the same board as the 6-10?

OP It depends people sell the UL already drilled out so all you would need to do is tap a hole for it on the body. Harju on this fourm does it as well. I can do it too but honestly I have been very busy here lately. AND I dont have any extra DM4/5 UL Frames.

The UL boards go up to DM10. The 11 takes some different board (its still prob called a UL though), I checked my 11 the standard UL board doesnt fit. I dont know about the 12 or 13 though, I would assume its the same as the 11 though.

And yes I couldnt remember if the DM4/5 came stock with the square boards or the ULs. Its been a while.
