Winter gloves?

What do you guys do in the cold with gloves? Where I play its around freezing constantly this time and year and there's been a few inches of snow of the ground for awhile. I usually use an old pair of proto gloves with the fingers cut off, but in this weather they don't help too much.

What gloves do you guys wear to keep your fingers warm but still walk the trigger decently?

You might want to invest in "hot hands" heat packs instead. Keep them in a hoodie pocket or something close to your body so you can keep your hands warm between games.

In the winter I just use "ironclad" work gloves they aren't too bulky but cover your whole hand. I believe they are the general purpose ones, they don't stain your hands either. I don't have a problem walking the trigger in them.

Yes! I use those all the time! They're very helpful. Luckily, where I'm located at, it hasn't gotten too cold so far.

From the looks of it, you are fairly close to the OP.

Great idea. Luckily the field I go to is smart; they have a huge bonfire in the staging area most days. Sometimes in the middle of a round I find myself wishing I was out so I could run over to it

I have the new bt fingerless gloves and throw the "hot hands" head packs in the palm of the glove. In between games I just pop my hands in my pockets and I'm warmed right back up.

Ehh, honestly I dont wear gloves too much. Even at home shoveling snow or what not.

I have some dye gloves that I throw on every now and then. But, I'm pretty used to cold/hot weather, as I have worked outside all year long every single year for the last 7 years. Kind of used to it now. As others have stated, those first couple years, hot hands in your front hoodie pocket were a must have.

When I was in the Navy we had these wool glove inserts for work gloves. I use just the inserts when playing, they cost $3-4 at an army navy store and they are great.

I usually just end up using any cheap pair of gloves I find around the house, in your case hand warmers would be a good idea

I have a two fingered trigger on most of my guns and any gloves I wear fits inside them fine. Hothands in the pocket helps keep me warm between games.

I second the wool liners, I'd buy them by the dozen in the winter when I worked outside.

I know I live in Florida but its the close to Alabama part. So it CAN be in the thirties and when it is I have a pair of Rothco Kevlar knuckled gloves. They were tough to break in but after five or six games they were like a second skin. Nice and warm, and if you get knuckle blasted you won't feel anything!

Another variation on the hot hands: get some thin gloves that work with your trigger, then jam the warm pack in you glove but on the back of your hand where it won't get in the way much

No it's probably not as good as on the front (never tried to do a real test) but it works better than you'd think

Black Mechanics gloves or a pair of the shooting gloves I got issued for deployment. Enough to keep the fingers warm but still light and tight enough to work my marker.

I find that neoprene gloves work really well. Just make sure they're the right size and fit tight to your hand.
